still think 550 at the engine is a little optamistic on a oem AFM, in fact i would seriously doubt any one has one running more than 450 RWHP which is what 500-510 at the fly Mike

tbh its mainly down to bad mapping, most who go for a dual setup either get a SAFC or a custom map which is not good enough for a well tuned car, invest in a decent stand alone ECU with a MAP sensor ;)

well there talking rubbish, it simply wont do it, you will be seriously pushing it with 500 and its just not worth it as its so important. IMHO ditch it and go for a MAP sensor, much more reliable Mike

not entirely true, yes in theory one intake is enough but a oem AFM will not support 550 hp, 450 is about the max the oem AFM will support so you can then either go AFM'less with say the aem ecu or go for a dual setup :) Mike

yeh its nice stuff but you can buy other stuff which is very much like it for alot cheaper. the other thing is stuff like laminate is well out of fashion and stuff like amtico is sort after!! having a chat with the brother in law tonight about it to see where we go from here :smw:

It would be supplying and fitting flooring, mainly stuff like amtico and kardean etc but he also does everything else for the company he works for at the moment, carpet tiles etc etc mainly for commercial properties

As some of you know i am losing my job at the moment and finish on the 30th of April so looking around at opportunities at the moment but its a little slow up here at the moment but i have been thinking of setting up a business!! My brother in law set up his own floor fitting business a few years ago but never did it right from the beginning and fell flat on his face but with his skills as a floor fitter and mine getting and running contracts it may be a good time to go it alone but its the risk involved, i have a family and a huge mortgage etc So after advice, anyone else done it and can regretted it or the best thing you have ever done?? simple bluefin remap, exhaust and a few other mods can see the RS to 300 bhp which would give a near stock 300zx a very good run for its money ;)

Found a guy not too far from me who does wheel refurbs and paints them for £40 a wheel, he also does fancy paints but they can be slightly more than £40 a wheel but thought it was a bargain. If anyone wants his number then let me know. This is nothing to do with me and i have not tried him. Mike

God that place does my head in sometimes Father in law has been after an old mini cooper for ages now so we spot one on ebay for a decent price and more important its local so as it had a buy it now price we bought it, insured it and arranged to collect it today, while we were on our way we call the RAC HPI place up and they tell us it was a CAT C write off :rant: nothing mentioned in the sales ad so call him and tell him were not interested in it. well you need around a 35 to clear the brakes but you will get rubbing on the inner arch, if you had wider arches then you could go for a lower offset say a 10 or 15 to stop this but on standard arches they would stick out :D may be worth trying a 20 offset to see how they sit in the arches but be careful that they wont catch the outer wing when going over a bump!!

9.5 is a little big for a zed up front, i would go for 8.5 for the front with an offset of around 35, with the 9.5 you will get rubbing!! Mike
