That 'listen for the clicking' is Kinda hard, pull connector off, clicking, on-still sounds like lots of clicking. I lost the plot today. MJP delivered the correct gaskets with lightning speed :bow:. Breakers rushed out another injector, a bit battered.Ok, i can still do it. Then it comes to nissan, all ordered during the week 'yes, the seals will be in friday'........'oh you mean this friday.no can do :mac1: In desperation, i bought a dremel! :nana2: Its scary as? doing that, even then you have to do more than it looks, because the screws rather long.but.Job's a good one, its now on 6 + back to :hyper: Thanks to all who helped along the way.

He just used an 'energy probe' - supposed to show voltage + signals. So thats a plenum off job?, or is the dodgy sounding 'dremel' method good?

Following on from my missfire thread-it still does :smash: I have been to my local auto- electricians. We put new coil+ injector connectors on. Then we checked for an ecu signal, the pulse light lit up on the tester. Still a dead 170 psi cylinder Now i'm totally confused, is the injector fooked?, or is there anything i've not done+ should of?

I have had it at an auto electricians, its powered up at coils+ injectors+ getting a strong signal from ecu at both. Cause? fooktifino. Bit cheesed off at mo.

Mine started like that.Tried to kid myself it wasnt doing it, as it went so well in first three..........now i've got a 'dead' injector.

Oh yes, compression 170 psi too.

I have cleaned:- ptu connections-both sides, cas connection, afm connector, ecu connector, injector connector, coil connector, also dismantled + looked at circuit board of ecu- nowt obviously wrong. Also checked throttle bodies are opening/closing ok, Seems to have a good spark on the duff cylinder, by turning over cas shaft by hand, ALL the injectors clicked. Running out of time+ ideas now, could be a dying ptu i spose, but i've got no way to tell. :cry: Think i'm going to admit defeat+ book it in at a nissan main dealer :hurl:

Ok. I've done a 'datascan' consult type thingy, showed 55.no faults. Checked for water in fusebox.none, dry all about, although i couldn't get it right out. The injector seems dead, got 13.5v across the connector, managed to clean it + still dead as. Is there any way to confirm if injector really is dead, or if its missing a trigger from ecu/whereever Who does plenum off jobs in bedford area?? Thankyou!

It revs ok, just misses. I cant tell if it is a dead injector or what. Got 13.5v across injector. 13.5 between coil volts. Sooooo confused!

Hi. afm looks like good connection, trouble is i'm working long hours this week, so only get odd moments to look at it. If its light when i get home, i will try fusebox :hyper:

Right. I managed to swap the coil.same symptoms. new plug.same syptoms. I Took The coil out, old plug fitted, and the spark looks 'weedy', was very light out though! I'm Going to make sure the injector is working tomorrow, the plugs are very green-cheers saz!

Ok, i've done the search thing-seems to be a million answers.but.... I parked the zx up on tuesday night, quietly thanked it for getting me home safely, in the worst rain i had seen in ages. I even thought 'ooh, nice.still running smooth' Get in it today + Its missfiring Straight away constant rough running, nearly undriveable. :confused: Sooo. I've got two hrs to fix it, before a long journey tomorrow. any ideas? Its uk, all stock air filters,bodywork,everything!

Hi. The heater wont blow cold most of the time, regardless of whether econ is pressed, or how low you set the temp'. Its freeezing when i press 'def' button, occasionally it says cold for a few minutes afterwards in 'auto' I have done searches on heaters, air con etc + the fan in the rooflight is free+ whirring away well, the coolant level is good, no 'bypasses' of any kind.........as far as i know. I found a auto-diagnostic, but doesnt work on my 1992 car. Climate did work ok, for the first few days but maddening now its playing up. :smash: Anyone got any ideas? cheers :duffer:

I've had my tt on the road just over a week. :cool: £57 of tesco's unleaded( its a stock uk car), got me 237 miles.18ishmpg. Maybe this will improve,maybe not . Did spend the first few days being a tit though.oh,yes.and the next day, er and the next day. I was worried about fuel bills etc, but when I drive it, I couldnt care less :hyper: :hyper: I just wonder why i didnt get one sooner. :p
