Removed rear stock foam spoiler
OK. Tried some suggestions I read on the net. Lighter Fluid, crap, doesnt do anything even when soaked in. Carb Cleaner, dangerous, removes fine, but also takes off the paint# G3, just turns the glue white instead of black At a loss now guys, this stuff is so thick I dont know what to do. Tried heat too, thats a no go either.

Whats the best way of doing it Stellaz? DO I need to soak a rag and then let it soak into the glue? Then just use another rag and rub?

Removed rear stock foam spoiler
I removed my rear spoiler tonight, what a job! Does anyone know of a good adhesive remover to get the remaining glue off? I cant seem to shift it even with good old fashioned elbow grease!

Respray?
Thanks for all of your advice, and based on it I have decided to..... .....not bother!! TBH washed and waxed her today (see What a Lovely Day thread in General Discussion) and she came up really well, also, got some G3 on some of the scratches and have finally got shot of them, so she really doest warrant a re-spray. I am consider having one of those mobile paint restoration people coming out at work and spending the day on her (the before and after effects a fab on the web site). I think in all honesty that will bring her up to her former glory. I actually sprayed the front bumper and rear spoiler myself and did a pretty good job, got a 99% colour match too. As I am after a body kit, I think I will spray that and fit it myself, thats enough to "keep my hand in". Thanks again for all of your replies! Jon

Respray?
Thanks for your advice guys, I think I will bite the bullet and just "do it"! On another note, if anyone else is interested in respraying their own car let me know, possibly thinking of renting a medium to large industrial unit for a month or so, that way if there was a few of us, we could share knowledge, costs and help each other. Thanks!

Respray?
How would I go about respraying my own Zed? What do I need and do you have any tips? Any other non-professional done it to their own car? What were you experiences? I want to do a top notch job obviously, so how do I do it? And what do I do if I go wrong? Thanks guys.

Rear Spoiler Removal / Options
I want to remove my rear spolier (the crappy rubber one). I don't want to go down the re-spray route as in hindsight, the car doesnt warrant it. The spoiler however, has to go. What are my options as to what to do where the spoiler once was without having a full respray? Cheers guys.

Still Missfiring ARGGHH!!
Have you cleaned the throttle bodies? Mine did this and went down cheapest route first which was the throttle bodies and it cured the problem! Get some throttle body cleaner from any motor factors and a toothbrush and clean off the the carbon deposits.

How stupid am I
removed rear light tinting with cellulose thinners today, masked off area and finished them perfectly. Removed tape and some thinners seeped through and there is the odd black smear. How do I get rid of this? G3?? Might be worth mentioning it hasn't stripped any paint, just looks a little hazy in places.

Respray!!!
Hi Mate, Where did you have this done? In the market myself!

Mot help - nottingham
Does anyone know anyone in the Nottingham area who will pass my Z through an MOT with dark tinted rear lights and an "illegally spaced" number plate (although completely legible)? It is due soon and need to get it sorted if not. Thanks
