gearbox problems
Sounds like your box is fooked mate but heres a couple of shots in the dark! Check the oil level and the colour, should be a red colour if remember right? Remove and clean filter, if there are bits stuck to it then it is prob the synchro and its game over. Worth a try mate! Mine did that and then went pop!

Car Cleaning
Just a bit of a rant and cry for help! I’m very stressed out at the minute with the crappy weather and the fact that my car always seems to be dirty at the moment!! Just wondered if anyone can advise on these points. 1. Rubber Mudflaps – Can I remove these and soak them in anything? 2. Wheels – Whats the best stuff to get stock alloys back to factory like condition? There is no scuffing on them but they are caked in brake fluid and the crap that comes off the road, jet washes just don’t remove it. 3. Stainless Exhaust - How can I get this shining again? Seriously debating on putting her into storage next year as I seem to be washing every couple of days at the mo!

Remote Start
Just to add, not sure how to adjust crank time. Anyone know?
-
Remote Start
I had a remote start fitted in December, nothing special, just an ebay job. Not this only seems to work half the time and don’t know how to adjust the crank time? I think it has something to do with operating temperature, as it works 100% of the time when engine is warm or the temperature outside is high? Any thoughts?

TT Vs NA
I actually thought he na had 230bhp at the wheels! 189 isnt great, thought they were a 200bhp+ car! shocked!
-
TT Vs NA
So, what do you think could beat an NA? Are we talking Golf GTi's TDi's etc? Cos never had a problem! Just curious what we definately CAN'T take on?
-
TT Vs NA
That's the spirit!

TT Vs NA
Stellaz: I know mate, what gets me is that a lot of people do slag off the N/A, when in reality a good example is generally in much better condition than the TT’s as most from what I have seen (not necessarily club cars) have been abused and the engines are about to give up the ghost! My N/A engine runs like new!
-
TT Vs NA
absolutely!
-
TT Vs NA
Good points mentioned above and an impartial statment! I must say, if there is one thing I disagree with, and it is only one, it is struggling to keep up with modern hot hatches? Must say, I have never found that, still tend to beat everything off the line, if they try to test me!?
-
TT Vs NA
not sure why people slag off the n/a though?
-
TT Vs NA
I have an N/A and dont feel the need for a TT at all! more to go wrong, thats the way I see it. Car is a fantastic looker whether TT or N/A and people still think its a Lamborghini!!
