  1. .....a belt sander tomorrow? Need one to shave a bit of plastic off my indicators to make them fit into my new bumper? Thanks
  2. Good luck bud! Been married for 4 years myself now! All the best!
  3. Can anyone help me for an hour or so on Saturday? Am going to fit my near rear bumper. Just need an extra pair of hands to hold it while I bond it and help ensure a snug fit? Thanks in advance. Jon
  4. Hello mate, Never met you before but as a family man with children myself, I cant imagine the world of pain your in at the moment. I pray that everything works out for you and your family in this difficult time. All the best. Jon
  5. Hi mate. It is a place called MB Bodywork. Let me know if you want the details.
  6. Mine i booked in to a place in Nottingham on 22nd September for a full same colour respray. The guy had two cars outside he had just finished, a Silver Ferrari 360 Modena and a Ford Mondeo. I inspected them both and they looked like glass, no lines, no overspray absolutely perfect. He basically gave me two options a "cheap" spray at £600 which he admitted would be of dubious quality as the lights, seals and everything else would remain on the car, the other option is "Factory Finish". He guarantees it will look brand spanking new straight from the factory, also, the price includes welding the holes in the boot from stock spoiler removal, all the prep and sorting all of the dings on the car out. The cost for this is £1,400. I get a written 5 year guarantee on the paint, and also, if I am not happy with any aspect of it when I collect, he will redo it! Chuffed to bits, as the cars he has done were mint!
  7. won't the filler just drop out? How'd you do it bud?
  8. hi. Are there any members in Nottinghamshire who can help me weld up my spoiler holes? Thanks
  9. Any know anyone or anywhere in Nottingham that will respray my tailgate Gun Metal?
  10. FRIDAY! Email me jonny_sharp99@yahoo.co.uk
  11. Depending on how bad it is I have found G3 cutting compound to be spot on if used correctly! Just my two penneth worth.
  12. Cheers zx-eyes, I will try and search for that thread and see what I get! Alternatively, if I don't find it, am sure he will pop the figures in this thread for me! Thanks for your help!
  13. Thanks zx-eyes! Not trying to be difficult, just seems bl00dy hard to find accurate data about anything these days! For example, a quote off one thread I find was this: "Performance is good, both TT and NA are close up to 90 then afterwards then the TT pulls away (something to do with the gearing i think)" I guess Legrath will pop along soon to shoot me down lol! Either ways, I love my Zed! N/A or TT, Joe Bloggs on the street still doesnt know what it is! I remember seeing a guy at the Tesco petrol station in Hucknall, Nottingham, he was just getting into his Orange Gallardo when I pulled in, he got out of his £100K car and said that he used to have a Zed and they were cracking cars!! Still has the status it would appear!
  14. I also heard that N/A's are quicker off the line? I have looked for stats and figures all over the place, but everysingle one of them is different to another! There dont seem to be any "accurate" 0-60 time comparisons against the two cars. I read a thread on here about 10 minutes ago that stated the big difference is in 60-100 and 0-60 was about the same (TT slightly faster, but N/A quicker off the line)? Where those stats came from is beyond me? Alas, I suppose us N/A owners dont have to worry about lag! Just pop and go!
  15. At that price, would rather get a respray! Would've thought the plastic option to be cheaper! Bugger paying the same money for something that isn't permanent!
  16. Hi, Can someone tell me the difference betwee a stock N/A and stock TT on the following? 1. 0-60 2. 60-10 3. 1/4 mile I have read somewhere that the 0-60 is about the same and the 60-100 is where it differs? Any other advise on the difference and pro's, con's of each welcome!
  17. I have had quotes from £1K to £1.5K so far!
  18. Drop me an email mate, might be able to help if your interested. Cheers Jon
  19. Thanks for the tip! Going to take a little trip to halfrauds this weekend and see what I can get. If I decide to respray the boot, what kind of cost am I looking at? Will they fill the holes and will they spray it on the car in situ or remove it?
  20. finally sorted it with a caramel wheel! Thanks for all your help everyone!
  21. Absolutely, there are always two sides to every story. Take it to the PM.
  22. Removed stock rear spoiler and now have 6 holes where the spoiler used to be bolted on. Does anyone have (or know where I can get) any “plugs” either rubber or plastic I can put into the holes until I decide what to do? I just want it to look neat and tidy while I am driving it, and also don’t want the dreaded “urine of the God’s” seeping into the boot?
  23. Do I use the edge of the Caramel Wheel on the glue, or the bottom?
  24. Gets harder by the minute! I was told there was not fear of the paintwork being damaged! Can you advise me on "how" to do it right? Thanks
  25. TBH the paint is absolutely immaculate underneath the spoiler, not one blemish whatsoever, just the black glue crap. Also, I have no issues with a rippled tailgate either, is smoothe as silk! Going to borrow a Caramel Wheel off Boldy, that should get the bleeder off. Do I use the caramel wheel dry?
