Heya Steve, No i havnt disabled any of the frequencies on it, i usually turn it off if im only driving round town, but i keep it set on 'cityall' all the time so it only bleeps once anyway. Its also good knowing which gatsos are active and which ones you dont have to hammer on the brakes for isnt it:D

I dont hear any noises like that mate, apart from when i have a squeemish passenger :D

I always keep mine right on the max mark, surely the more oil circulating the better?

Ive got 225's on the back of mine aswell, cant wait to change 'em tho. I had 32psi in them and it felt too much - back end skipped in 1st/2nd on full power so ive got 30 in them now . Last owner had 22 all round! If yours have 40 it must hop all over road?!

I thought the Z was supposed to use 10/40? I read it somewhere. Is the 60 thicker or thinner when hot? Im guessing thicker so it's better for older engines? Ive asked this before but no one replied:( !!

Yeah Tim , theres not too many roads round here with the white blobs tho:) . I think they're mainly used for joyrider chasing. Where's the harm in the likes of us doing 100+ on an empty road at night time , no danger to anyone. But i guess we all know the motorist is easy pickings and we've got money... any of you joined the ABD yet?

I have a Bel550 which works exactly the same in the Z and the Alfa. I keep it set on 'city all' so it only beeps once to warn you but still gives visual readings. It picks up gatso's well but doesnt always bleep for hand held speed traps. Anybody had any experiences ot this? I think they have to be pulling the trigger ? Anyone tried a laser diffuser?

my speedo was reading 10% slow, i asked protech in nailsea bristol to have a look and they said it was a faulty converter thingy. (the speedo face is the 180mph one). They fitted a new converter ,one of their own ( small plastic box with 2 or 3 wires coming out) and charged £194. Bit pricey i thought, could have done it myself if i'd known about this site back then. So do it yourself mate! Do u live near Bristol then?

Too right guys. Anybody that thinks ABD is a waste of time will have no right to moan and complain in a couple years time when they're paying 500 quid + for road tax on their Z. and getting fined ££ for exceeding the 20mph speed limits . This association has got the potential to shape motoring taxes , speed limits etc , all we need is a big mouth and some of u lot have got that:D , so c'mon , if we get just half the motorists in the country we'd have a massive powerfull union.

Jesus! 1000.s of miles at snails pace in a Z!! hardluck mate. I didnt even realise cars had to be run-in these days , silly me :p , cant you just drive sensibly for few hundred miles or so, then back to normal? I thought running-in for 1000's miles went out with anglias and allegros and stuff.:eek:

Hey franco, I was interested in that car about two mnths ago, i emailed the guy (and yes 300z he is a hillbilly lol) and he sent me description and a website where he has quite a few pics of it, i'll find it out if you want it. He was asking £6500 back then , so fook he's desperate to sell. I didnt go and drive it because i found the one i have now, but it certainly looks a hell of a bargain now! I'd get down there asap mate cus at that price it will be gone next week for sure. DO IT NOW!:D

Only had Z six weeks, 1st week cost me 600 but i expected that, just getting it to run sweet. Since then zero, apart from fuel ofcourse :( and as im still like a kid with a new toy im usin about £110 a week, but that'll come down when the novelty wears off lol. Also , running costs are gonna be high if you use specialist garages, the one i used charges £38 + vat per hour, but now i've found this site should be able to do more stuff myself , some of these guys know everythin about Z's!:)

Colin, dont know about respray but have a look at my z for ideas about bumpers, the front and rear looks spot on when you see it for real, not OTT ! The front nose is very low tho, scrapes stoopid road humps sometimes. Should be doin better pics soon :)

Yeah i think we all know where our local gatsos are ,they've been painted yellow round here, but it can be dodgy sometimes when you're on unfamiliar roads, fook i'd hate to be zapped by one !! I've got a Beltronics 550 on my dash, and yes it does actually work! Picks up gatsos from about 200m but doesnt detect some hand held guns till they pull the trigger so hopefully its pointin at someone else when u pick it up. Anyone got a lazer scrambler on their Z?

Mike, sounds like the rx7 turbo ll, i used to have one theyre quick! Its the one before the latest roundy one. 2.4 twin rotary engine with single turbo, 200bhp, 0-60 in 6 secs, max 150. Ive put a pic below but its bad quality. Sounds like you had the edge on him tho :)
