Steve, when's the final date for getting your name down? If nothing goes wrong with the V8's I'd really like to attend and support the club's 30th and I'm pretty sure Mr Dixon would say the same as we're both members as well :) Unfortunately it's pretty much a "how long is a piece of string" scenario over an ETA for completion at the moment. 5 nights without sleep!?! Jesus. I'm suprised you're not dead! Longest I've ever been awake for was 46 hours and I was fit to drop by the end of it. The frustration is a big part. You get worked up that you can't sleep which means sleep is even harder so you get even more frustrated, yadda-yadda-yadda... Viscious-circle-tastic. :rolleyes:

Um...if I'm lucky, about another 50 - 60 years! :wack: ;) Yeah, the meds are probably a permanent thing but after a while my body should adjust to them. I think the time I take it also has an impact so will play around with it till I find something that works. That or go nuts from lack of sleep, whichever comes first! Lol! ;) Hey, the upside is I'm getting a LOT done, lol! :D

Now been up for almost 24 hours and it's really starting to do my nut in. I'm normally a partial insomniac but the meds I'm on at the moment seem to be robbing me of what little sleep I do get. Went to bed at 4am, fidgeted about in bed for an hour and a half before admitting defeat and getting up again. Been engrossed in the new Raymond Feist Riftwar book which has helped pass the time (and before that, "Hannibal Rising" which was v good) and now just had breakfast with the little lady as she's up earlier than usual for work herself. Now posting this drivel on here to kill more time. No sleep sucks. :(

Since migrating from Limewire to Edonkey a few years ago I was a bit disappointed to see them get brought down by the thought police (I know the network is still running...or at least I think it still is...but I'm a bit worried about them logging my I.P. and I can't figure out how to enable TOR to work with it...I can get it to operate on any other page but not with Edonkey for some reason...any ideas about this would also be great...but I digress...). After going back to Limewire and finding it not as good as I remember I've been trawling around reading reviews on whats new out there. Thought I'd throw it open to you guys. I know the obvious choices but is there anything else people would recommend? Would like to tangle with the whole bitorrent thing but I'm a bit of a Luddite in these matters so it might be good if there was something with a user friendly front end to deal with it? As above, does anyone happen to have a photo of a Z without the rear seats? I'm not going over to the bodyshop till the end of next week now and though I can take one then, it would be helpful if I could look at one now to give me a head start on the designs for the interior build. Oh yes. :wack: On the first one I did, I made the mistake of sanding it down outside our back door (it was summer and too hot to be in the workshop)...I didn't factor in a sudden gust of wind. Suffice to say the little lady was not impressed by the thin layer of metal filings covering the inside of the conservatory... :wack: :D

I used to know a chap at school that if you pushed past him e.g. in a queue, he was compelled to touch you back. Suffice to say that in a public school environment he soon amassed something of a "backs to the walls" reputation. Funnily enough I believe he is now of the theatrical persuasion so make of it what you will :wack:

Yes. Set about it with an angle grinder with sanding disc attachment first to remove the castings and dimpled surface as Mike says. It's a long job to get it perfect but it should come up well with enough care and attention.

They're all currently unfinished but will be done for the height of the show season this summer (if nothing goes supremely t1ts up). John and I will have our V8 engine work finished roughly at the same time (there's now another VH45DE conversion but that won't be completed just yet) we're just twiddling our thumbs waiting for the custom T.B's, manifolds, mounts and sump pan to be finished (luckily one of our fabricators has taken 2 weeks out to concentrate on the work). Once done it's all systems go.

Mine will be going in the "glossy" tuning/modified mags in the UK and some in Japan (thanks to contacts over there). There is also another Z32 at Bodywork Plus that is having almost as much custom work as mine (although the owner is being even more of a dark horse than me!) which will be finished to show standard (no engine work though). Also Senor Dixons shorty might be doing the rounds if he can stop being so modest and stomach the limelight!

Sounds perfectly acceptable to me :wack: Aside, perhaps, from the "How much is too much?" issue...There's not exactly an existing precedent on record (aside from non-nuclear muted grumblings about impact events, volcanoes, ash in the atmosphere and a small matter of an Ice Age.
