What do you think of these alloys?
Just dug up this pic of the original alloys they're based on: Enkei Arashis Think the Boss wheels actually look better! :D

What do you think of these alloys?
Agree with you to a point mate. The 17's I'm running at the moment are great from a handling point of view but I've been in Zeds running 18's and TBH I didn't find they had a detrimental effect. Always said I wouldn't go above 18's, and it's unlikely that I will.....but.....;) :D

What do you think of these alloys?
Yep, that where I saw them first! :D Think the originals are made by Enkei...muchos, muchos money! Mate, that would be fantastic if you don't mind! Would be looking for a set of 18's (though I haven't totally ruled 19's out of the equation...;)). Not sure what width fitment TBH though. Think I found the same guy, but when I had a look at his ebay shop he was only selling 17's in this type. Only down the road from me in Warwickshire as well! :)

What do you think of these alloys?
With the work being done on my Zed at the moment I've started thinking about possibly changing the alloys. I have to say the ones I've got at the moment are the best I've ever owned, I really like the simple race look 5 spoke design. However, if I want to keep these alloys after the next round of body styling they're going to have to be kicked out a helluva lot by spacers to fill the arches so I've been wondering about a set of very wide 18's. A while back I saw a set of American rims that really caught my eye, and interestingly Boss have just released an almost identical copy of them. What do you think people?

Dilema
Difficult as it will be seeing her parked up and not being able to use her, like you say at this time of year with Christmas just round the corner, if it was me I'd wait. £150 is a fair bit towards the inevitable Yuletide costs! :) Leigh.

Totally NZR: Mirror tiles needed!
Cheers mate! Found this site last night http://www.uniquemirrors.co.uk and their prices seem very reasonable but will definately give your guys a bell! :) Damn. Busted. I couldn't afford a full respray in chrome effect paint so I had to improvise...;)

Totally NZR: Mirror tiles needed!
Ok guys, this is a bit left field but bear with me...does anyone work with or have contacts that deal with mirror tiles (the small variety, about 2cmx2cm)? Thing is my folks are looking to do out their entire salon (a hair and beauty business) with these so I'm currently searching the net for a supplier who can get us them in bulk...and it just occurred to me there would be nothing to lose posting on here on the off chance someone might be able to help out! Bit of a long shot but keeping my fingers crossed.:) Cheers, Leigh.

Advice needed: what to do with the strip above rear lights?
A-ha....quite. Was wondering if there's anything that would need filling underneath it when it's taken off...the bodyshop hasn't taken it off yet.

Advice needed: what to do with the strip above rear lights?
Now my Lambo lights are fitted the black trim strip above it under the spoiler where the Fairlady logo should be on imports looks out of place and really needs to be bodycoloured. What's the usual way of dealing with this guys? Cheers, Leigh.

Just been to the bodyshop! Looking good!
Had a trip over to QVR today to pick up some surplus bits that I'm selling and finalise a few things...and bearing in mind it only went in on Monday the Zeds already looking amazing! Lambo lights are in, sideskirts fitted (not smoothed in as yet) and the dent on the rear quarter from the accident has completely disappeared. The 99 spec front end is still to be modified (time consuming) and a few other things need to be done then phase one is complete...smooth...in more ways than one ;) Got to say the Lambo lights really improve the back, very impressed! :hyper: Leigh

Bodyshop recommendations?
Lol! I think there's an echo in here! ;) :D Thanks for the input guys. I'm about to run the project by the bodyshop at Nemesis Performance in Essex (where the kit came from) but I'll definately see what Peter has to say about it! :) Cheers, Leigh.

Bodyshop recommendations?
As some of you know my car went into the bodyshop (QVR in Daventry) on Monday for the first round of body modifications. I was originally going to get the final part done more or less straight after, however the price they've now got back to me with for this last piece of work has turned out to be INCREDIBLY high, even considering their good reputation and bearing in mind the old adage "you pays peanuts, you get monkeys". Although the car is going to look great (fingers crossed) when I pick her up, it's this last bit of work (the fitting of a non-300ZX specific kit) that is really the thing that would make it stand out...and is suitably difficult to execute. There would be a fair amount of cutting, shutting and smoothing involved. I can put it on the back-burner till next year (the kit is currently in storage) and try and get the money together (worst case scenario: sell the kit. Don't want to do it but it has crossed my mind :() but thought I'd ask around if anyone can recommend a good bodyshop that I can sound out about the project. I live just outside of Birmingham but TBH travelling wouldn't be an issue if a suitable company comes along. Cheers, Leigh.
