Not long got back from a break in Wales with Lucie and just seen this! Great idea Rich! :D There's plenty of pubs in the area so I could suggest a few with decent sized car parks if you like? ;) Leigh
  3. Cheers for that mate. Was going to call and ask if you'd found it but haven't long got back from a short break in Borth near Aberystwyth. Speak to you soon then bud. :)
  4. Saw the yellow Zed with the "Nismo" kit up close and personal about a month ago. Was going round some local car sales with my mate who was looking to change his car. It was in a place in Tysley, in Birmingham with two other Zeds up for sale, all in pretty poor condition (the owner knew next to nothing about them). The kit didn't fit at all well (understatement!;)) and if you do decide to go ahead, you'll definately need to take it to a decent bodyshop which could prove expensive. HTH
  5. Blimey, nice photoshop mate! Can't wait to see it on the car now! :D
  6. I know mate, was concerned about that myself. Can't understand why they'd leave the windows down with all the filler dust about. Put it like this, if the interior isn't spotless when I pick her up, they won't be getting a red cent out of me till it's valeted!
  7. Christ Danny, I'm skinny enough to go in through the exhaust let alone through a hatch! Lol! :D  Speak to you later then bud :)
  8. Of course, me no thinkee straight, cheers for that Jock :) Thought I might also fit another solenoid that would unlock the boot (but not pop it open as the boot is way too heavy for that to work without installing gas struts I should imagine). It would give me an emergency entry way into the car in case the door solenoid decides not to work.
  9. Lol! Told you I was going to butcher it!:D Apparently the brace is not a problem (at least they haven't told me it has been!) Rich, they normally post work in progress pics on their website but apparently they're having a few problems with it at the moment. I asked if they could send me the pics as they'd mentioned they could take some when I first visited. It's the best bodyshop I've seen so far TBH, very large, very well equipped and the guys that actually do the work really know their business. Have to admit it's a bit on the pricey side though which is why as much as I'd like to, I'm getting the bodykit fitted by someone else as there will be a lot of work involved, it being a non-300zx kit...;)
  10. A button underneath each wingmirror (when they're put back on!;)) will activate a solenoid which pops the relevant door open! Clever stuff! :D When I get her back the plan is to modify some jump leads and have them connected to the battery and run them down into the front wheel arch so I can jump her in case it goes flat for any reason. Think that should work.
  11. Had a call from the guys at QVR yesterday...my car's going to be ready to collect next Wednesday! Only fly in the ointment is that I'm leaving for Wales at stupid o'clock in the morning that day and not coming back till Monday so going to have to wait a bit longer yet till I pick her up. It'll look pretty rough and ready for a bit as they're not spraying it as (fingers crossed) the kit's going to start to be fitted fairly soon after I get her home. Anyways, here's a couple of photos they sent me today. So far she's been de-locked, de-handled, and de-swaged. The stone protection smoothed, sideskirts fitted and smoothed in and lambo lights fitted. Finally, the '99 spec front bumper has had its front air dam widened bringing it level with the top of the lights, losing the numberplate mount and relocating it to removable brackets that will sit on the bottom of the "mouth".
  12. Really does look good Mark. I'm liking that front bumper, very different and very cool! :D

Yep, as Goit says they're definately not on there but the alloys in question are the ACE CO36 Aviator. They come in standard silver or chrome flavours but I believe sizes start at 18" with the option to add a wider alloy for the rears. Prices start at around £1099 for a wheel/tyre package. HTH Leigh.

WHOA...I'm having a flashback! ;) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=40644&highlight=boss Yes, they're only available in 17" at the moment put plans are afoot to release them in 18, 19 and 20" fitments in the not too distant future. As soon as they do I'm grabbing me a set of 18's :D Leigh.
  17. http://www.goddammit.co.uk/videos/kiaora.mpeg Enjoy. Leigh.
  18. For anyone (like me) who loves anything remotely doomy/gothy/scary/Tim Burton/Clive Barker/Neil Gaiman-esque...you'll love this game.http://www.theskeletonshop.com/ And for a weirder art-related experience check out the website. Stunning. http://www.mypetskeleton.com/ Leigh.
  19. Was there as well! :D Crackin' gig, with the band actually enjoying themselves on stage (better than at the NEC on the Mellon Collie Tour). TBH I've lost track of the gigs I've been to but here are a few (in no particular order) that for better or for worse stand out: Pulp Kenickie The Levellers The Dharmas Radiohead REM U2 (several times) Garbage Placebo (several times) Suede (several times including the supposed farewell gigs in London) Manic Street Preachers GLC (terrible but p1ssed myself laughing!) Goldfrapp Massive Attack Black Grape (very funny watching Kermit ask the crowd for drugs, proceed to neck at least 3 tablets of unknown substances then loudly keep proclaiming throughout the gig, "I'm going, I'm going!" Lol!) The Wonderstuff (original line up and "comeback" tour...second one, not so good...) G3 this year at the NIA...JD if you're reading this, Lucie still hasn't forgiven you for having to sit through the travesty that was Robert Fripp! Lol! ;)
  20. Bugger. Just rang up the Ebay guy (who turns out to be part of "Midlands Wheels") and the Boss XTT is only available in a 17" fitment at the moment. Got to ring him back next week to see if there's been any news on the release date and price for the 18"...fingers crossed.
  21. You're not far from the truth Ian! Just been on http://www.weather.com and they predict light rain tomorrow, cloud the next day and only the possibility of sun on Sunday! Fer Chrissake it's Italy, It's mean't to be hot! Arse. :( ;)
  22. ...Because I'm about to start packing a few clothes ready for the flight tomorrow! :hyper: This is the "second leg" as it were of the international hair and beauty competition that parental unit No.1 is taking part in as member of the British team (with my girlfriend as her model). While they're busy competing I guess I'll have to sit back and make smalltalk with yet more gorgeous foreign models...it's a tough job, but somebodys got to do it...;) :D Leigh.
  23. If you're looking at a "bolt on" relatively hassle free mod you've got two options as far as round rear lights go: 1) Fiat light conversion: call Luke at the Z centre in Nottingham. 2) "Lamborghini style" light conversion: as said above, Paul in Blackpools your man.(In my experience he was a great chap to deal with who went out of his way to help...knowing I needed them sharpish he made a two hour journey to meet me at services on the M6 to drop them off!:)) I've just had the Lambo lights fitted as they're slightly bigger than the Fiat version and IMO suit the Zed more. I discussed the possibility of a R33 GTR conversion with the bodyshop guys but although it IS possible, after offering a pair up and seeing what would be involved it was clear that it would cost serious money considering the amount of modification and fabrication needed to get them in (don't even think about R34's! ;) ). End of the day, I equally liked the Lambo lights so was more than happy to go for them. HTH Leigh.
