  1. ...and you don't even get LEDs in them! :D Cheers, save's me digging out the paperwork! David
  2. I got some oem replacements from MJP. Cant remember how much they were now but don't remember it being crazy money. The jet still isn't very powerful but at least all four jets are working! David
  3. ah, that sounds plausible, its been a good while since I've used it. anyway that theory can be tested? where would the sensor for the gas pressure be? cheers David
  4. I've had my aircon fuse out for a while now as the belt was slipping and it was doing my head in. As the sun is shining I finally got round to sorting the belt. Unfortunately the clutch on the compressor isn't engaging now. I've checked the relay - that's fine and the fuse. When I shorted out the output side of the relay contacts and the clutch kicked in fine (and the belt didn't squeal!). Any ideas? Can the ECU be preventing the aircon starting? Its adjusting the tick over to compensate ok. Cheers David
  5. No problem, was good to see you again. See you all on Sunday :D
  6. think they can cut them from just the chassis number if you present the ownership documents etc …but they wouldn’t do mine as its an import. Think they were just being awkward though good luck! David
  7. think I've found the problem - and it wasn't where I thought it was. Just got in there and had a good sniff around as suggested. There's more of those fuel lines than I though there was the first time I tried it!! Cheers David
  8. Ah, hope its not that. :( It was a job I was dreading. I did find an imaginative solution though. Crashed the car with the duff matrix and replaced it with a car with a working one - sorted! but a bit drastic.
  9. think I was missing the point! I take it the water is from the car washing? In which case, I haven't seen that problem! Although my slight leak seems to have moved from the drivers side to the passenger side - strange. Sorry, not being much help David
  10. ...and I think the footwell carpets are linked IIRC
  11. only time I've had that, my heater matrix was knackered! David
  12. Yup, think that's exactly where I mean! Where the throttle cable joins the bar that joins the throttle bodies. The clips are sitting flat and there seems to be no way I'm going to get a screwdriver in there. Do you have to start taking the throttle bodies apart?
  13. I followed my nose to the seemingly inaccessible line at the front of the engine. Think I'll try the talc trick to confirm that's where my leak is ..then worry about dismantling stuff to get to it! Was there a 'How to' that showed where all the lines are? Cheers David
  14. Yeah, I tried that but couldn't find a suitable picture. Actually I got distracted and ended up reading about diagnosing hesitation when cold problems! I'll have another look... Scoops, have to agree, it smells nice - just don't want an inferno on my hands!! :)
  15. My zeds back on the road after a little winter vacation. Unfortunately, its come back with a really bad fuel smell when starting especially when cold. I've tightened up the clips on all the lines I can access but I think the leak is on a fuel line at the front of the engine, tucked away behind the bar that links the two throttle bodies (I'm sure it has a proper name!). Is there a fuel line there? If so, how are you supposed to get to it to fettle or replace it? Cheers David
  16. This sounds good. Think I might have to show my face. I'll bring along my laptop and my new Nissan Datalogger software if anyone fancies a play. ...and if anyone can show me what I can learn from it, so much the better! See ya all soon David
  17. Here's my effort ...and it's spookily realistic! Except my guitars a strat not a Les Paul!
  18. Wasn't me yesterday, But I was blasting southbound down there this morning. First proper run out since a 2 month SORNing :D
  19. I used to get this on my old PC when I upgraded to XP. To recitfy it I had to boot from an XP CD and run CHKDSK on it or add the harddrive to another PC and run CHKDSK. Sorry, its all a bit vague but its a good while ago now. Diffinately a disk type problem though. In my case the problem was sorted by updating the firmware on my drive controller and it never happened again. HTH David

Ah, just looked at the site properly - the car wheel cleaner is a different product to my bike stuff :slap:

I'm sure I once tried muc-off on the alloys on my Galant ...and it did nothing. Not a patch on Wonder Wheels - that stuff really shifts the brake dust. I've got a 5ltr tub of muc-off. I'll try it again when I hopefully get the zed back on the road this weekend :D David

I use muc-off for my mountain bike and its fantastic stuff for getting the mud off. Still tend to have to use a de-greaser to get the chain and stuff clean though. Never seen the car products, will have to check out the site....
  23. Yeah, I've got a set of blades and I love 'em. Must admit, I've always found them a bit out of their depth once you get off piste but on piste they really are fun. Gave boarding a go last time I was away and was rubbish at it but I intend to try again! Gutted I didn't get away this year. :( Too much car maintainence on the credit cards!! ;) David
  24. Ivan, have you got your cable yet? Maybe I should have asked this before I ordered mine today - couldn't resist! David
