Hmmm.. I don't even know what TFT or upscaling are - I must sound like my grandmother! I'll nip out later and note the model name/number so I can find a full spec.

I've resisted buying a big, flat TV for ages - my TV is almost 20 years old and has been fine but it's starting to have problems now. I was in Tesco yesterday and they had LG 42" LCD TVs for £799. I guess that's a good price? What are the things I should be checking? Brightness? Resolution? Any ideas? I know some of you are well clued up on this sort of thing.

I've used 'Ace' alloys for over 30 years and can safely say they're second to none both in terms of quality and value for money. ;)

major service every 5 years / 60,000 miles inc cambelts. about £400 at a specialist garage but they'll probably see a few other things that need doing so it might cost more. SW Zed is good and down your neck of the woods.

If I was selling it, I'd sort the damege, give it a right good polish and leave it as it is. Who knows what the buyer will prefer. Although if it needed much paint anyway, I might get it resprayed.
