  1. Good news! Absence makes the heart grow fonder! Mine is dark purply / black too - definatly the connosieur's choice!
  2. Good advice on the site. So sorry to hear about your loss. That sucks more than I can imagine I should think.
  3. Nice one mate! It's a horrible feeling, knowing it's coming up soon, knowing it could cost a fortune. An mot tester can condemn a car too and I don't think you can even take it away then!
  4. And a wuss the rest of the time, come to think of it!
  5. My mate kept up with me on a Honda SP-2 in his Xantia TD on the Cat and Fiddle pass (Buxton to Maclesfield)! It was wet though and I'm a wuss on a bike.
  6. I liked the one where he won a trip round a sweet factory and it was run by midgets and Gene Wilder... can't remember the name though...
  7. Don't they need new rotor tips every 30,000 miles? I could be wrong though!
  8. My old man is a bit tasty in this field (I think). I email him most days. You're welcome to pm if you want.
  9. Citroen Xantia? The 110bhp TD is surprisingly quick and without the passengers realising they're going fast - if that makes sense.
  10. You can get different bulbs for £10-£25, some of which are called Xenon, but I'm never convinced they're much better. You can get true Xenon which is called a gas discharge system or HID. That's loads brighter but it's £200 or something and needs a box of electronics mounting somewhere. Some people get great results from just cleaning the inside of the headlight glass.
  11. That car hads a puff's voice. It used to go "ooohhh, Micheal" in a very camp way.
  12. I can't believe people call their cat 'Choco' or 'Chuppa Chupp' but not Craig, let alone Craig David. Do these people have no knowledge of soul and R'n'B?
  13. Just out of interest.... Is there a forum for Supras (especially MK IVs) a bit like this ? Cheers! :hyper: :hyper:
  14. Why are R34 GTTs so much cheaper than the GTRs? What about GTSs?
  15. Wow, love that car. It looked quick but Zhound's looked quicker (even though it wasn't....!) I'm off to autotrader to look at Skylines!
  16. I don't understand any of these words... is this about computers?
  17. So..... people who've had both seem to rate the NA as better?!!!!
  18. Every time I go to Halfords I buy something ... my garage is littered with cleaning stuff (and wallet is empty!) As I have hard water where I live, it leaves marks all over the car and Turtle Wax 'Wax it Wet' is the best thing to get rid of them.
  19. Perhaps (a bit like TheDarkSide) NA owners could be TheTightSide...(sounds a bit like 'light'?).....I'll get me coat...
  20. Isn't a twin tub something from the 1950s or something? ;)
  21. I really love my NA. In about 8000 miles (in 8 months) I've only wanted a TT twice, once when a BMW 3-series out-dragged me on the motorway and once when a Boxster also out accelerated me in a straight line. I've driven a TT and plenty of fast motorbikes so I'm no stranger to quick stuff. When I'm on here I do sometimes wish I had a TT though! And when people say "ooh, I like your car isn't it a twin turbo?" After the turbo went in my 200SX and cost a flippin fortune to fix I swore I wouldn't have another second hand turbo car... I can't fix it myself and I always seem to get ripped of by garages. I guess with all the support on the forum you could sort knackered turbos for reasonable money though. Maybe I'm just trying to convince myself and prop up the resale value of my NA .... but I think if I really wanted more power I'd just nitrous my NA. You'd think a NA would cost less to insure too but I bet it doesn't as insurance companies are grasping *******. Sod it... I love my NA!
  22. It's all queer on my Mac at work but fine on Mrs Craig David's PC here at home.
  23. Sorry ... didn't mean to come across snobby!
  24. We prefer to do 'meets' than cruises. At a 'meet', three or four Zeds turn up in a car park and the drivers open their bonets and look at each other's engines. It's a much purer form of automotive appreciation.
  25. Never been but I've heard it's good. The hotel overlooking the track (?the Dorint or something) has exceptionaly filthy porn on the pay TV apparently.
