  1. Yes, a big thanks Rich And Claire. Top afternoon. :duffer: Nice to meet more people and see the same faces again. Sorry I couldn't stay longer and get tanked up. Roll on JAE!
  2. "I had a fantastic night - this wasn't it" - Groucho Marx. :duffer:
  3. If she held the picture underwater it wouldn't develop - it would require developing fluid. And what about April the twelth, April the thirteenth and April the Fourteenth. sorry - being devils advocate really :duffer:
  4. Maybe there's something wrong with your 300. Or the golf felt quick cos it's a rattly little tin box and the 300's plush and smoother.
  5. I'd want decent repairs of minor scratches and car park dings if people hit my car with their doors. Perfect paint match. And a reasonable price too!
  6.
  7. We (and more importantly, the Americans) need to think hard about why the people who commit these crimes are so angry. I do wonder if we really are the good guys - Al Quader cite green issues and believe the western superpowers are mis-managing the world. I think and hope we are the good guys but I do wonder if someone high up has got their hands in the till and is perfectly prepared to let people die to get more money and power.
  8. She is fine! I wonder if she'd like to sit on Uncle Craig's lap and talk about the first thing that pops up? Bunches always do it for me too - hope that doesn't make me some sort of paedo nonce! :nelson:
  9. It's those answering machine which slowly give you a list of optins, none of which you want, and the long waits on hold than wind me up more than foreign call centre staff.
  10. My old man says (virtually) everyone has the same metabolism and being fat or thin is not due to a variation in metabolism (and he's professor of gasterenterology and specialises in the human diet). Body size is determined by a simple equation with the calorific value of what you eat on one side and the calories you expend on the other. I think what does vary biologically is cues of satiety - ie when people feel full.
  11. Don't eat breakfast myself - get something mid morning. And the 'metabolism' thing is not really true - everyone has the same metabolism.
  12. Brake cleaner or carb / injector cleaner shifts just about everything. Warming with a hairdrier first can help too.
  13. Will probably nip home to sleep as I'm very nearby - after showing you all how to drink properly!
  14. Yep, the more the merrier - one in the t-shirt, one in the polo shirt.
  15. What can you do to tune an NA? As far as I know: aftermarket exhaust (that's cat back, plus decat pipes plus headers for a full system) after market air intake different chip / reporgrammed ECU underdrive pulley(s) Any idea how many bhp each ones gives? And if certain things work best together? Is there anything else or is it onto big money / big risk stuff like porting the head, nitrous, superchargers etc etc? Wasn't one of the traders going to put together some sort of NA tuning packs? Also, how much power is lost through an auto box?
  16. I must admit I saw it. I thought that little northern lad was a fruit - clearly not. Or maybe he swings both ways.
  17. Mine is auto (and NA and purple too!)
  18. At least it's not an auto as well!

  20. Sorry to hear you have to sell mate - but like everyone's said, you gotta look after your family. Someone is going to get an awesome car for a bargain price.
  21. A few days ago a national paper said a hosepipe ban was likely this summer. That means washing the Z with a bucket - and not using my "Flash Car Wash" thing that stops it drying all streaky from the hard water. AND water rates cost me a bleeding fortune anyway! Who can I blame ? :slap:
  22. ... Q: hi im just wondering if the car is a runner and if so does the turbo smoke. 28-Jun-05 A: There are no known mechanicals faults, turbos are in good condition. Sorry, i think i would struggle to sell a salvage car. No known mechanical faults - except it won't start!
  23. I've only heard of it done once and that was on a motorbike. I'd trust that particular dyno man totaly but I have no knowledge of it being done on a car - don't see why not though if the bloke knows what he's doing.
  24. SWB are all imports - UK LWB only I think.
  25. Yes - like the Williams boy!
