  1. I'll ffffffuuuggginn show yer pissed! And tonight was meant to be quiet after last nights 5am excess... :duffer: :duffer:
  2. I've heard taking it to the red line a few times in lower gears without the engine under full load is a good thing - stops the bores glazing. 'Grannying' for 600 miles is not a good thing. It's full throttle in high gears at low revs you should avoid at first. A mate got his (bike) engine run in on a dyno recently - dunno if that's a good thing or not though. IMO anyway!
  3. Welcome Si Glad you're looking for a Z - they're an absolute stunner. Just make sure you buy a good one - regardless of wheelbase and gearbox. There's a few nails out there - but plenty of nice ones too. Get a decent one and you'll be chuffed whatever model it is.
  4. Don't think I'll make this now - sorry - hope anyone who goes has a good time!
  5. Bank transfer Thoughts and prayers with you Kenny.
  6. Good whoring Uncle Chunkle! (up to 6007 by 4.15 - that's more than one an hour since!)
  7. Cool! 10 inches of rain is about half of what we get in a year in East Anglia!
  8. Maybe it wasn't running right (safety boost or something). I have an NA and have driven a TT too. When a TT comes on boost in 2nd and 3rd it's quite impressive.
  9. That is an unusually good reply.
  10. He's back and made 8000 posts too!
  11. I was joking about the glue gun - shows what I know!
  12. Sorry to hear that mate. Stick with it - you'll get it soon. And do check out http://www.bikerclub.co.uk if you get a chance - it's a great site.

The Nurburgring is great but I'd be wary about doing it as a first race track. Maybe I'm just over-cautious though. Not over-cautious abut Amsterdam though!
  14. Ahhh... if only The Duff Man was here!
  15. What an unsualy helpful man at the Dept For Transport. Big up Mike Dark. Normally when I try and get information out of these sorts of places there's just a wall of apathy and transfering to other departments.
  16. When you thinking of going? My plan was get there Friday, get drunk, camp, leave sometime Saturday.
  17. A build up of calcium salts if I remember. When I got mine I was drinking coffee all day and 'Great White' cider all evening. This led to constant dehydration and was a contributory factor. I now have a maximum of one coffee a day and drink lots of water too.
  18. Ouch - hope it all goes ok Steve. This is good cos it'll get fully sorted and then you won't be always waiting for the next bout of pain.
  19. I might go to Billing - is anyone else? Are the Z-club lot a decent bunch? Will they mind if I stay up till 5am on the brandy and Vicodin?
  20. Suzy - I'm afraid I'm only a 'maybe' - might make it, might not! hope to see you there but I don't know if I will be able to.
  21. Should I e-mail him and offer him £500 plus my standard wheels for his alloys?
  22. Surely a glue gun would be the connosieur's choice - not that I've ever tried.
  23. Cheers chaps - I only have one button on my mouse here at work (Macintosh) but I'll try the right click at home as that sounds simple. If that doesn't work I'll try your method T-pot. Thanks gents!
