  1. I work in Peterborough (near where JAE is being held). I understand police have closed part of the city centre - not kown why but we can guess!. I don't think it's anything to worry about and it's a good distance from JAE which is west of the city so if you're going to JAE, please don't worry.
  2. happy birthday mate :duffer:
  3. Jesus, that is not good! Hope you can sort it out. My only advice is to stay calm and be apologetic. "**** pride" as Marcellis Wallis (the big black guy) said in Pulp Fiction.
  4. Belated best regards
  5. Thanks lads. I had another look and realised it's a part that should go side to side, not backwards like it looked at first. It was partially ripped on the one side that was still held on and a gentle tug ripped it clean off. Here's the part. It runs across under the car between the front wheels. I'm guessing it's some sort of splash guard. Will it be ok to drive for a few days until I get it replaced? Any idea what the part is called or where I can get one from? Thanks again! Tim
  6. I heard a funny noise when driving. I loooked under the car and a plastic pannel has come lose at the back and is draging on the road. It's under the car, towards the front on the passesnger side. The front of the pannel is still attached to the car but the rear has come free. Any idea if it's all still there (or has part been lost) and how to fix it back in place? I can't see any obvious fastenings. Cheers chaps! Tim
  7. Very rarely see them look anything other than gash. But occassionaly, done right, they look ok. But not just bolted ontot a standard car.
  8. Had a top day meself - stag 'do'. Paintballing, then go karting, then a big chinese meal, then lap dancing.
  9. She looks kinda foxy which is great. But if she give you loads of grief (and I don't know how much grief she's giving you), GET RID! I always planned to wait till I was 40, then marry a 25 year old stunner. It hasn't quite worked out like that but I think if you can make it happen, that's the way forward.
  10. :duffer: :duffer: :hyper:
  11. You probably won't get a ticket from either. But you might get one. If you get two you've been VERY unlucky. I think they have 14 days to get the the NIPs in the post for fixed cameras. Flashed twice in on day is unlucky bud!
  12. I enjoy smoking all sorts! :nana2: Seriously, don't underestimate a NA auto. It's not the fastest car out there but it's not slow. I took my Zed (NA, auto, 2+2, targa, standard*) to Santa Pod and got a 15.8 on my first run which isn't bad. An auto TT beats a manual TT to 100mph (no figs for NAs). And an NA is probably easier to launch quickly than a TT. *Which probably makes it the slowest car on the forum!
  13. I was in fancy dress mate! It was a work party that happens every year - most years quite a few people go in fancy dress and I never had the bottle before. That time I did dress up - and was the only person out of about 1000 there who did! It was amazing though - lots of people I know well wouldn't even look me in the eye and didn't realise it was me.
  14. I think it's fear of losing their anonymity as well as the photoshop thing that makes people afraid. This is me... (a previously posted pic anyway!)...
  15. T0ssers! I'm with Bell Direct (http://www.belldirect.co.uk) Maybe worth giving them a call - theyre always the cheapest for me.
  16. There's a 1998 R-reg with 23,000 miles on autotrader for about £6500. I don't know if it's TT or NA and it might be a rough one - for that price you'd thnk there's something wrong with it.
  17. This might be an urban myth. The lights create less heat than an average loft conversion and there's plenty of them about.
  18. If she gets bored cos there's no rides she can sit on my knee and talk about the first thing that pops up. ;)
  19. Besides, that's just perspective and my big shoulders making my arms look thin....
  20. Hey, hey, hey....sounds like the fat lads have been on the brave pills tonight. I'll have you know I'm regularly likened to a major TV star...
  21. You've met me - you know I'm joking (I hope!) I'm 11 stone of skin and bone and about as hard as a damp tea towel.
  22. Don't worry Alex. At JAE I'm going to challenge him to an arm wrestle, win and then I'll be the boss of this place. He's a big man but he's out of shape. For me it's a full time job.
  23. Mint 200sx bootlids are in short supply but that seems kind pricy!
  24. Mine is my 'daily driver' and has been perfectly reliable. It is a late car so that helps. If you fancied going down that route, there is a 1998 R-reg car with 23,000 recorded miles for sale on autotrader.co.uk - although that sems very cheap so it might be a dog. It's £6450 which seems extremely good value for such a late registered car. you could easily spend £3000 on an early, rough one then another £3000 making it ok. if you spent the £6K in the first place you have a newer car which will be worth more when you come to sell.
