  1. On the top box? Christ, I wouldn't dare try that - I was nervous enough on the pillion it'd go into a weave and hoy me into the barrier.
  2. I'm always cursing that I only have two arms as I have to turn those third and fourth babes away. :p
  3. I've been riding BMW motorbike this week. I found you can set the cruise control to 90mph, then hop back onto the pillion seat, leaving no-one riding. You can then steer with your body weight and head down the motorway overtaking cars, waving at kids and fancy women. Ahh, living the dream, living the dream as that funny bloke kept saying at JAE. edit - hmmm - pic is very small - ah well. edit II - made pic bigger (I think!)
  4. Ream them out with a Dremel and use some big self tappers.
  5. Just stick the head on anyone who looks iffy.
  6. If it's a 1995 car then maybe £4500-£5000. A bit more than a BMW 328 coupe of the same age.
  7. I was told DOT 4 is the one to go for by Silkolene's top research chemist.
  8. SWB more nimble alegedly and slightly lighter so slightly faster accelerating. LWB more stable at high speeds, more luggage space with seats folded (had a double futon in mine the other day) and possibly beter parts availability? Not a lot in it really - they're both good.
  9. I think there's quite a few FWD cars with over 200bhp. Accord Type R, Fiat Coupe Turbo, the pokey Saabs and Volvos (250bhp ish), those mentioned above and more.
  10. I thought about it. It's more the fear of it knackering my car than the loss in performance I'm worried about.
  11. A good mate at work who I sit next to bought a limited edition CD from ebay. It wasn't the limited edition one when it turned up, just the normal one. He compained to ebay and they refunded his money and said they'd look into the dodgy seller. But maybe that was a rare occurrence. I don't have anything to do with it myself and I won't now having heard all this.
  12. Not done much exercise recently but my diet is good. My old man is a professor of gasterenterology (eeh, hark at me) and says five portions of fresh fruit and veg a day (potatoes don't count) is totaly the way forward. To do anything else is to court hideous disease and death. Obviously exercise in moderation, moderate drinking only (yeah, right!) and not smoking are good too. But the five portions of fruit and veg a day is the key thing.
  13. Has anyone heard of the place? I'm off there for a stag weekend tomorrow. From the little I've heard it sounds like some dirty northern drinking pit with loads of desperate 30 and 40-something women up for some action on the bins round the back. I hope so anyway. :duffer:
  14. Congratulations mate - getting the job you want - there's few feelings as good as that. Time to celebrate :duffer:
  15. I bought an NA - I could have got a TT for the money i spent. I have driven a TT before and I test motorbikes for a living so I'm no stranger to fast things. I'm very happy with my NA. One day I might get a TT but after 18 months of NA ownership I'm still chuffed to bits with it.
  16. Happy Birthday Andy
  17. Some top stuff on there - nice one Andy
  18. Mileages on imports can be suspect. Good luck with the car whatever it turns out to be - you're quite a way from all our favourite specialist mechanics!
  19. oh, it seems to be working now - dunno if it was something you did / said Andy!
  20. How do I look at their 'driverpower05' survey - I'm on a Mac. I think you're a bit cleverer than me with computers!
  21. I think they've just secured it - shame as it looked like there was some great stuff in there. Good find though!
  22. Find the key in the statue's ar5e. The enormity of the bosom is entirely justified by the script.
  23. Lol - get it covered! Was thinking of getting one meself - having seen this, I'll give it a miss.
  24. yep - heard they'd gone kaput.
  25. You can get a non-turbo Z31 too! Z31: single turbo or no turbo Z32: twin turbo or no turbos
