Gearbox Clutch Fork Problem??
Just a quick thought if you pull the rubber boot out of the way and shine a torch in there you may see something obvious.

Gearbox Clutch Fork Problem??
Paul I dug out the OS Giken catalogue if your clutch is a TS2CD Racing twin plate clutch kit there is a clutch release movement alteration parts kit for that clutch. As Greg says though this may be the same as an oem release just with a OS part number

Gearbox Clutch Fork Problem??
Hi Paul I think (pretty sure) there is a different release sleeve an os giken part required for this clutch, if you give RB motorsport a call they will be able to tell you tel 01704 822848 they are the uk importer for OS Giken

Stolen
Hi Folks Stroke of luck or what! Van has turned up the engine is toast but as Colin said I am not bothered, the only thing missing was the stero and some tools. the case with th ecu stuff and ecu loom was still under the back seats. Thanks to Paul300zx and Dick300 for your offers would have replied earlier but have been at sea with my job. I dont know if i'll get the car ready in time for USSC but will try will be at the next event at crail for sure. I am hopefull the 1/4 mile times will be the quickest on the club forum with the new diff ratio's and engine. see you guys soon Ed Almost forgot to ask if any of you lot are taking part in the "world record" attempt in Sept that is being organised by the club are we going to get a convoy organised from Scotland. I am planning to build a trailer for the Z ( i know sacrilige a trailer on a Z) but this trailer will be the back half of another Z, going to chop the one i bought fo spares recently give it a go and see what it looks like.

Stolen
 :hurl: On Satuarday my van (toyota townace) was stolen, inside was a silver camera style aluminium case which contained the ecu for my 300zx also in the case was the ecu wiring loom with the avcr boost controller wiring attached and the wiring for a link knock amp also the loom for a dastek launch control. The ecu is fitted with a chip from Eric (dta motorsport) if the lid is opened there is a label that says Inzane "racing gas" stuck to the underside, there is also a standard ecu for a 300zx tt auto. I know i should have taken the case out but it was out of sight and I had just finished a 23hr stint on the car getting ready for the scottish USC and was well tired (hindsight is a wounderfull thing). The car has a replacement engine which is looking well tidy with a direct port nos system and a 4:10 richmound diff but no ecu electrics to say i am gutted is an understatement I have put a lot of hours into getting the car ready for next weeks USSC all the work has been done by myself please if anyone is offered any of the above get in touch. regards all Ed Davies Aberdeen

Zed still FECKED
Hi Richie, seen a similar problem on a Z up here recently the cause was water had got into the fuse panel (behind the plastic panel next to throttle pedal) and had caused the rear of the panel to corrode the various relay terminals, might be worth a look just in case this is the problem.

What do you guys want?

Scottish Meet - Sunday 23rd April
well "old red" is not going to be ready in time for the Banzai meet, i will however be there in the toyota st183 gtr. As I am not on the track I will take along my conZult diagnostics software and check out anybody's car if they want. The car will be ready for the ussc qualifier on the 27th of may, this will allow time to set-up the car how as intended. see you guys on Sunday 23rd

Scottish Meet - Sunday 23rd April
I have tried various jet sizes between 140 and 50 the higher shots would slip the clutch in 3rd + 4th, car seems happy with a 60-75. if you go for a bigger shot make sure your timing is not above base or it will go bang in a big way, i have had nos for 2 years now the only time it caused a prob was a backfire that blew an intercooler apart but that was my fault.

reving problem

Dropped All Its Oil! Had enough!!!
check out the return line from the turbo to the sump, on the turbo side there is a banjo bolt which should have 2 copper crush washers (either side of the banjo) or the hose itself.

Best place to buy a NOS bottle?
Russ Nitrous oxide by itself is not flamable but it is an oxidizer but this does not occur untill it reaches about 532 deg centigrade (approx), Nitrous when injected provides the extra oxygen that the extra fuel needs to burn, the power you get from a Nos kit comes from the extra fuel injected into the combustion chamber. I dont know the tempreture of co2 but nitrous in liquid state is at minus 127f (a bit on the chilly side) ;)
