I have a sandwich plate on mine and cant use genuine oil filters on it cos the oil filter seal displaces when you tighten the filter.

Found mine to be more responsive when de catted !

Evening all Mine has HID kits fitted, they were on when I bought the car. Never had any trouble at MOT time though. The nearside on is dimmer than the offside must be a prob with that ? Are the standard bulbs really that bad ?

Hi Guys, I have a J spec TT. When I bought the car it had fitted a Blitz induction kit upgraded chip (not sure what make that is) Dump valves again not sure what make but they came from America according to the recept and an Apexi AVCR.I came across this (see pics below)I thought at first that it was part of the Boost contoller but now pretty sure that it was fitted in Japan cos its the only Mod on the car that I have not got the recept to.The thing is still live cos the control knob lights up when the ignition is switched on but the control is set to zero.The question is what is it what does it do can it still be used in conjunction with the boost controller or is it redundant and needs to be removed ? Would appreciate any advise Thanks.

If the blank that you are talking about is where the cruise control switch would be then the answer is no.The switch pack is in fact a pcb I tried that one and I couldnt find a way to graft a push button switch onto the pod.

Mine is a AVCR not too sure of all the features a mate of mine had 1 on his Evo and knows a lot more about them than I do.

SWB TT manual 99 spec with leather trim, ultra low mileage with the HKS straight pipes fitted (the ones that angle the back boxes outward)plus a few other mods would go for the same rims that I have fitted to my own.

I have one of those fitted to mine too !

Are coil overs a good mod on the Z ? Some of my mates had Cossies and said that coil overs made the ride too harsh !

I get that too I know mine is running a bit rich will get it on a co machine 1 day ! Dont know what it should be set to though.

Had the same prob with my local Nissan dealer ! I use MJP.

Hi I have a J spec TT and need some advice on front brake pads.There is EBC Red stuff fitted at the moment.The car has grooved discs fitted.Are genuine Nissan pads ok and is there any differance between J spec and UK spec pads ? Thanks

I had fun fitting some Jap Speed de cats to mine,the off side one would not clear the front floor pan/bulk head ! We had to get the gas bottle out to the exhaust hot it up and get the big hammer out !
