  1. Brilliant. Thanks very much. I know this is gonna sound completely amateur (i normally leave all engine work to jimmer!) but am i right in thinking that the spark plugs can be accessed by removing the coil packs and they live underneath?
  2. Thanks very much guys. I'll get to it ASAP. I put 5 gallons of super juice in it last night as i thought the fuel might have evaporated.

Those gauges look awesome. Where you mounting them fella? In a Din slot?
  4. My zed's been sat on axle stands for the past 8 months while ive been doing alot of work to her. I've got everything reconnected, all the fluids replenished but when i turn the key, the engine is turning over but not firing. The battery was making a clicking noise but once i put a booster pack on it, the clicking stopped. I disconnected the fuel supply pipe after the filter to make sure i was getting a fuel to the engine. All Ok there. The only other thing i can think of, is that the spark plugs arent wanting to play. Anyone offer any advice?
  5. You could use the vac pipe that wouldve run to the stock recirc. The pipe leading to the stock recirc is in 3 sections. Rubber hose from the plenum to a metal pipe (attached to an intake pipe) then another rubber pipe to valve itself.
  6. Ive just finished exchanging my recircs for a set of apexi's. The pipes are 28mm in diameter and i used plumbers end caps (£7 each from B&Q) to block off the pipes. Like this: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=1386909&postcount=15
  7. I agree with the above. It'll look shit (IMHO) and it'll restrict the type of potential buyers. Why not put the money to better use i.e. repainting the front bumper?
  8. Cheers fellas. Im going to take a trip upto halfords tomorrow and price it. Then compare it to what nissan stock.
  9. nice one. Youre about the 50/50 part though? I read on here about the 90/10.
  10. I've removed my radiator to ease the access to my power steering pump. I'll be in a position to refit my radiator sometime this weekend so i'm wondering what kind of coolant i should be using? I've read on previous posts about a 90% coolant - 10% water mix but should i go to Nissan and get their recommended stuff or will any old coolant from a local motor factors do the job?
  11. Andy, where did you get your pipes and fittings? I've had a look about but struggling to find where yopu got them from.

  18. On my current Z, the list is: Jimmer!
  19. Settle pettel! This arguement has been dead for a long time.
  20. There's no truth in the single turbo option. Whether Jap or UK Spec, they were only offered in Naturally Aspirated or Twin Turbo form. The Fairlady Z refers to the Japanese Imports. There is a link on here somewhere with all the various versions available. I'll have a look and see if i can find it. In the mean time, the search button on the top right hand corner is your friend :D
  21. I would've gone but i've got a pipeband competition that day.

Get some pictures up then! I've been off work all week, trying to redecorate my house. But now the decorating is finished, it's all hands to the pumps. Got the brake pipes to replace, then the rear subframe can go back on and the suspension built back up. Hopefully, it's heading to the bodyshop for a nice new paint job at the beginning / middle of June :D:D:D

July Meet in Del's house then? World Cup Final on a projector screen....HAPPY DAYS!
  24. I've only ever seen one other zed in Dunbar. A black LWB series 3 (IIRC) but that was about a year ago and never been seen since. Chunder lives about 10-15 miles from me and then it's a bit of a trek before i get to the next closest.
