  5. Hi Jay, Why do you have capital letters in front of every word mate? Its actually really hard to read! :) Congrats on the young un.....hard work hey? :)
  6. Veritas is a doddle mate, I installed it on a W2K3 server and backed up an exchange server over the LAN with it. You'll pick it up within a few hours if you've used Arcserve or any other backup sh1te! :D
  7. OMG, I'm so so sorry for your loss...... As all have already said, our thoughts are with you and your children.... I guess at a time like this, you think that things will never get better......but they do, always remember that......always....... Take care of each other ....Mark & Sam......
  8. I'd say no too, just doesnt quite look right IMO. U could probably get away with it on a black car....
  9. James If you cant be arsd to take the wheel lining apart then do what I did, run the power cable through a hole in the bulkhead behind the battery, make sure you put some antirust stuff on it after you've drilled. Then, run the cable through the hole, down past the Air condensor unit to the centre console and then along that, under the carpet to the rear seats. Under them and then to the boot. JD :D
  10. So dont the cars some with these as standard?!?
  11. mmm, yeah I think its a little better...
  12. I have just removed an front mounted oil cooler for my old Autobox, it comes with pipes and is in VGC. £50 including postage if your interested....
  13. AFAIK the pedal getting higher is the adjuster moving when it shouldnt be!! And clutch slip, thats nothing to do with brake fluid, did you have a new flywheel, was it in good nick? Another cause of a slipping clutch is a leaking oil seal.... Get under your car and check for any oil leaking between the gearbox and engine.... Good luck...
  14. I hear ya unca chunk, but the b'stard clutch and exhaust caused right probs at the weekend so I couldnt get drivin!!!! Exhaust will be sorted tomorrow night and a new slave cyclinder will be ready tomorrow night too!!! So, hopefulyl be driving home this week!! WOoo Feeerrrkiiinn HOoooo!!!! Hopefully! :) Cant wait to go to a meet!.........I'm tryin...... :)
  15. Very interesting that Chris, I have ordered the new slave cylinder anyway, it was only £50 from Nissan (Something cheap from them for a change!!!). I will try bleeding it again when I fit my new exhaust tomorrow night and see how I get on. I am using DOT4 but I presume that wont make a huge difference?
  16. At the moment, its very close for me between phils and Greg's.... Although Phil needs to sort those rear lights out! :)
  17. Ah I see, its all making sense. I bled the clutch with my father-in-law (Been working on cars 20 years) and he said that there's def no air in the system. This in mind, he said the slave cylinder was suspect, hence my suspiscions. To answer the question regarding the legability (Is this the right word?) of the slave cylinder, I presume it was good when it came off the car, its an AndyZ kit. Is there anyway to test it with it off the car? Air pressure perhaps? Regarding the braided clutch lines, does anyone on here supply them?
  18. Hi Andy When I did the manual converson, I diddnt know of the shortcut that Luke and Jeff came up with which is to run a pipr direct fromt he clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder. Me and phil installed the PITA clutch pipe connector that sits on the drivers side inner wing with the 3 pipes coming off it. One to the master, one to the slave and one to where the power steering pot is with a bleed nipple on it. Is this the external nipple you refer to, or is that somewhere else? Can I ask what benefit is gained by turning the slave cylinder so the bleed nipple is at the highest point? I did try tie-rapping the needle into the cylinder and then bleeding it but this diddnt help either? I will try your method andy to see if that helps. Are knackered slave cylinders a common problem?!?
  19. Guys Just checking to see if any of you can add to what I already think is the problem. After doing the manual conversion, and bleeding the clutch pedal, its still completely useless!! The kit came from AndyZ and was apparently working when it came off the car. The slave cylinder doesnt push out at all and there doesnt appear to be any leaks anywhere?!? The pushyout bit!! lol on the slave cylinder is realyl slack!! You can move it back and forth! Is it fooked? I think so...any ideas?

Had this discussion a while back, got a little heated too. The MR2 will only ever be any good off the line against a zed, rolling starts etc then the MR2 has no chance. On a 1/4 mile with standard cars and equal drivers and equal starts, the MR2 will just pip it.....just before the zed comes flying past......the 1/4 mile isnt long enough for a standard zed to catch a standard MR2 if its behind from the start... But then who knows two drivers that drive exactly the same... :) You have a good chance, just make sure you get a better reaction time and keep your foot to the floor if its an auto.... ;)
  21. lol, If my engine was new then I used fully synth, not on a 50K engine I aint. Greg, I tried that with a different car once, put fully synth oil in and it started rattling all over the place....fVcked it right up! Guess I've been scarred by that..... BYB, I have used that oil in my Zed and had no engine probs (everything else has gone wrong, but the engines fine! lol :D ) TOUCH WOOD! :D
  22. I did wonder where yourknowledge came from Yaz..... :) It'd take a lot of balls to come on here stating FACT after FACT when you actually know sh1t.... I though I knew a bit but then after a lengthy chat with JD last night, I know fVck all!! LMAO This is all very interesting stuff from all parties....
  23. You do hjave to battle through mate.....its taken me 8 months this time round and every time I touched something on my car it fookin broke!! :smash: Then, it gets replaced with something bigger and better... Hence, manual converision!! AUTO piece of sh1tty, **^&*, ()&*&**(, TW**Y, box crap type! :D I have only had saturdays & bank holidays to work on mine (with Phil), and its in a different town (20 miles away). Right ball-ache I can tell you...... But, when she's home, I am spending £500 on decent tools for me garage and I will sort most issues out at home...... I just wish I had a double garage with a ramp.... :) DREAM..... If something else breaks mate, find out what it is and fix it..... Then.. If something else breaks mate, find out what it is and fix it..... Then If something else breaks mate, find out what it is and fix it..... Then If something else breaks mate, find out what it is and fix it..... You might end up with a brand new Z but at least there's fVck all to go wrong!!! Chin up Mark........you know it'll all be worth it! :duffer:
  24. Yeah def helps Leigh thanks...... Lets have a look at Chris GB.... ;) Both for under a grand!! :)
  25. Mark, if your really stuck call Jeff, he'll guide you through some diagnostics to find the root of the problem. ;) Mark.
