  1. We were able to get a clonk with the car on the floor, i thought i could recreate the scenario with the axle stand, but i will try without aswell. And i will get all that aiv stuff out.
  2. This concerned me, but then i pulled the sleeve back and it seemed fine. Theres nothing under there that i can get a clonk out of now, nothing seems out of place or worn. Also what is this Part of the aiv? And these plugs? I think someone beat me to the deletes but didnt finish it.
  3. I need to get it apart. But I fear it will be the upright. Yes that picture is deceiving but its all the parts in 1 picture. Can bushes be replaced? I'm hoping it is a drop link because I already have a spare haha.
  4. I have a clonk on my drivers side, which I think to be my front upright (not fully investigated yet) My questions are, where do I get one for a reasonable cost?   7. He must have regretted that choice. I got myself a diesel front wheel drive runaround. And I missed rear wheel drive almost immediately.

  9. Its not a genuine spoiler, no brake light. Its had the sills done, looks good. Not had a proper look underneath yet, but it seems solid enough. It was sold with 2 dead turbos, but i cant see them being a real problem yet. It needs some love, rear window has some tine that wont come off, and the boot needs attention to the paint. Theres also alot of bling that i need to remove.
  10. I meant for a project thread, I cant remember how i did the last one. Anyway, its johnwaynes zed, (it came with some membership cards) and googling it, its been passed around i think. It will need my own touch. Came with a boost problem, but I believe it was just a wet maf (which was drenched) and a split boost pipe, now gaffa taped up for now and boosting fine.
  11. Finally got another Zed, and I cant find a place to get a thread up on here for it now. Can someone point me in the right direction. Its a members Zed so I guess you guys should be able to help me out with knowledge of it. Mark
  12. Thanks guys, this is what i thought. The seller has had a compression test done and says theyre all healthy (not got the figures yet) and a health check to which it was fine, but somethings clearly not right. Hes been told its turbos and it comes with spares. I know thats an engine out job anyway haha.
  13. Hi guys, Im looking to buy another zed, theres a couple im interested in, one of them the owner says the turbo seals have gone, and the car is in safety boost mode? I dont understand, I didnt think the ecus were that intelligent. Would there be another underlying issue causing safety mode? The car in question looks to be in very good order otherwise so i doubt neglect is an issue. Thanks Mark

  15. Yeah the bit on the front drivers wing i did exactly that. Minimal prep i just wanted to see what would happen as the laquer was completely gone. But you can see the ridge from where i didnt blend it.

  19. Was nice and easy to do, getting 14.2 volts with everything on, not driven yet to see if it squeaks still, but it should be all good

  21. Cool, ill try tightening it up, i wont use araldite though, ill try prying it out. How is it adjusted, ive not really looked down there before
  22. Guys im getting squeak and slight burn on the alternator belt when under full load (all electrics on) and im getting 12v with it all on. Which is at fault here, the alternator making the belt squeak or the belt not running on the alternator? Cheers Mark
  23. Yeah its an import so no cooler, ill get on that this weekend i think. Will it need draining first or will there be minimal fluid in there seing as its not being used. Its still in the loop though
