Ive just bought these lights. They are pretty bad but i intend on either tinting them to a gloss black finish or taking the orange out and using them on my existing pair (i like the tango) Can these cracks be repaired or if i painted them would it make it more pronounced or would it hide it a bit? Ive got one of those. When the car hits boost it sounds like its got external wastegates :D Dont know if its good to restrict the gasses though. ive taken mine off.

Are there any upgrades available or is the standard one fine for hight power. Also do ebay ones do the job or not, because some of them are cheap as £8 i think whereas the nissan part (from nissan) was around £35. Im not going to pay £35 for a fuel filter but if the ebay ones are the same quality ill go for one of those. Cheers Mark

Im going to get a k&n one, ive had troubles with getting filters off before and that nut on the end has sold it for me :D

yeah ive seen it on ebay, its cheeap enough to compare to the nissan part

Sorry to bump this thread again, but is the nissan oil filter worth buying. Ive found threads with people saying the k&n one are just as good if not better. Is there really that much difference?

I intend on doing this soon aswell, been looking for what material i want. Ive got a red Zed and im contemplating red faux suede or red vinyl. Sounds like this thread will help me alot :D

Ive got an N/A rear axle on mine. I was asking lots of questions about why i had no hicas at the back, and this helpful forum told me that its a good mod, quicker acceleration, no hicas, and a lower top end.

And taking the existing stuff off must be the easiest and most effective way. I re foamed a seat in a car years ago and used contact adhesive, worked a treat but the car stank for about 3 weeks after. Ive got a SWB btw, if the door card really isnt that hard i may have to get on with this

Ive been looking around at fabric prices and i thought about doing what youve said. But i just dont want to start from the beginning if you know what i mean. Taking the existing stuff off and starting fresh will give me a nice finish but its scary tearing the car apart :D im mostly worried about the door cards.

What do you mean still needs trimming, like heating up and stitching around corners? Good to know its good quality though

Actually ive just realised what it looks like. We used to put tights over out lights, denier 10 i think and it tinted them quite a bit, also gave them a lovely feel when washing :D

I remember asking about tinted lights and you suggested this stuff to me, i got rreally interested and went on their website, they had a section there saying 'email us a picture of your car and we'l photoshop it on for free before you buy anything' So i did and they didnt even acknowledge i had sent them anything, this was before christmas also. Really pissed me off cus this looks awesome on your car and i would have trouble buying from them now

oh and my oil cap is leaking, is there any special o ring i need to use?

Am i right in thinking that there is only one plenum gasket under it in the middle and rubber re usable gaskets for the cam covers as i want to take it all apart and give it a fresh coat of paint. TIA Mark
