  1. Hi I have just seen that I am no longer able to post private messages. I received an email the other day about subscription which I ignored as I became a trader in January. I presumed this also included a years subscription? Is that correct or do I have to subscribe again as a standard member as well regards Garry
  2. Put me down too please. If I have a car for sale I will bring that to the show.
  3. I have listed this car with a shed load of pictures on my trader site. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?184462-Finally-The-1990-Silver-TT-Manual-with-just-18-000-miles-on-the-clock-is-for-sale!!&p=1911106#post1911106
  4. Just wanted to post an update on the white NA. I received the car earlier today and as promised sent the pictures to Derek who had expressed an interest way back. I am delighted to announce that Derek loves the car and has decided to buy it, so it is now sold. Here are a few of the pictures that Derek received
  5. It most certainly is the Version-R
  6. The N/A white one wont be as powerful as the TT thats for sure, but its still a very quick car. as a daily driver you are going to still get the looks but with fuel economy compared to the TT. if its just for the weekends, then the TT certainly fits the bill. The black one is still in the garage being calmed down!!. It was a drift car in Japan and as such is race tuned to the max!! I was intending to get it checked when finished to see exactly what the BHP is. It came with the fiercest racing clutch you could imagine, so I have has the following done to it. New track rod ends, a complete new set of tyres, and a new complete clutch set. it also needs a little paint to one side where the original has started to look like orange peel. I am probably not going to get back what I have paid out on this one, but I absolutely refuse to let a car go that I would not be happy to own myself. If you want something that will rip your face off then this may well be the one. I will let you know soon what I can let it go for
  7. Hi, there and welcome to the club. Depending on your budget I may be able to help. I import Z's in from Japan and I will have a magnificent tt manual here in about 2 weeks max. Take a look at some of my posts and you will see some of the cars that I have had the pleasure of advertising and selling on this forum. In fact three happy members now have a new low milegage rust free Z's from me. Take a look and give me a shout if you would like to know more. Garry
  8. Stewart. Hi and a warm welcome to the club.
  9. Guys this one went under the hammer again last night, downgraded to a 4, which is probably right. It didn't sell because the owner wants to start negotiations at 1250,000 which amounts to roughly £7k, so even if it was got for that you would be looking at around £12-13k ready to go over here.
  10. Hey Guys, just a heads up about what is happening here. I have three Zed's on the way from Japan 1. 1998 N/A in white with body kit (Manual) 44K miles Late January 2016 2 1990 TT Manual in Silver with just 18,000 on the clock and one owner w.service book. Going to be pricey this one Late Feb 2016 3. Black TT Manual 1993 Tuned and originally set up for drifting. I am currently having it calmed down new tyres, clutch, track rod ends all round. But it is still going to be a monster Coming Soon I will post some pics as I get them
  11. Guys, the buyer was a Chap called Simon from Blackpool. he is into GTO's but couldn't resist the convertible. He took a train down from Blackpool last weekend, and I collected him from the railway station. 2 hours later he was off in the car back to Blackpool, arrived home around 11pm. He has sent me a text saying he wanted to register with the club, but he was having trouble with image verification or something like that??
  12. Hi Chaps, fresh from making one new member very happy here is the next car for your perusal. This is a quite stunning 1996 300ZX LWB TT Auto in Gleaming Metallic Blue. This car has just covered 45,000 miles in 19 years and has a very comprehensive service history, plus a timing belt change around 10,000 kilometeres ago. As you can see I have now decided to Register all of the cars I bring in to make it easier for a potential new owner to drive the car away. This has come in on an N Plate. I hope the pictures do it enough justice because this paintwork just shines like it was brand new, a deep rich Blue colour that in normal UK gloomy daylight looks a deep royal Blue, and in sunlight sparkles and pops with a metallic glint. There are just a couple of minor paint flaws. There is a small patch of touch up on the near side front wing (see pics) and a tiny scuff on one front corner. Other than this a few near invisible stone chips and a couple of tiny and again near invisible dents. What I want to make crystal clear is this/ THERE IS NOT ONE SPOT OF RUST ANYWHERE!!!. I have taken close ups of all four wheel arches so that you can see for yourselves. The wheels and tyres are superb! The cloth interior is in immaculate condition. no tears or rubs to the material. no cigarette burns and no splits anywhere. There is an automatic turbo timer fitted to the car so you can never just switch the car off without forgetting. I took the car out yesterday for a long drive and it performed superbly. Incredible power and perfect handling. MOT for 11 months There is a crack in the perspex panel above the rear light cluster. I aim to get a replacement so that this is cured. regards Garry
  13. Ok folks the car is finally here and ready for sale. I am including 30 or so pictures so that you are able to see exactly how magnificent this beast is. I have had loads of interest in this car prior to it reaching the Uk and I will PM all interested parties to let you know personally. So am I excited by thic car...you bet I am, almost to the point of wanting to keep it for myself, but I have promised to make it available so here it is. I don't believe you will find many better examples of this model anywhere, and the first thing I want to shout about is that there IS NO RUST OR CORROSION ANYWHERE!!!. It has come from the Souther part of Japan where the climate is very Californian like. The paint work is stunning. the Metalic purple just pops!! a superb glossy paintwork with just a few tiny scratches. nothing that a professional couldn't rectify easily. In fact to make this a showroom model you would only need to do the following.1. The two or three small scratches on the paintwork (no stone chips). 2. One small scuff on one of the corners of the rear bumper. 3. A couple of worn patches on the black targa surround. 4.One of the four wheels needs the outer rim recoating where it has flaked a little. 5. a tiny amount of colour added to the seam of the drivers seat bolter (really minor). 6 Steering wheel has a few wear patches on the rim. So what else can I tell you. The timing belt was changes at 90km and this is identified by a ticker on the cover. The car has completed just 86,000 miles in 17 years. The headlights have been replaced with gas ones as you may see from the picture of the engine bay where the two modules are attached to the frame. you will also see that there has been no accident damage and the radiator support is perfect. Inside this car there is a stunning Pioneer Carrozzeria AVIC HV09 DVD/CD/NAV/with rear Reversing Camera. A top of the range model with bluetooth and a seperate box with USB input. Two tweeters affixed to the imside of the top of the doors, a neat subwoofer in the boot, and a remote control in the centre console. So with so many people expressing an interest in this car I hope I have come up with a fair way of ensuring everyone gets a chance to own this beauty. So here is the deal. I want an absolute minimum of £4800 for this car. I believe it is worth much more but thats the minimum I will take. So if you are interested in coming to take a look with a view to buying please PM me with your maximum amount you would pay for the car if it ticks all your boxes when you view it. On Friday morning I will contact the person with the highest offer and invite them to take the first look over the weekend. If that person sees it and wants it then they get it, if not then I will contact the person with the second highest offer and so on. I believe this will give every one the fairest chance of getting the car depending on what you believe its worth to you. Any question don't hesitate to ask Garry
  14. Hi Does anyone know approx how much it costs to have these replaced. I realise its all in the labour as the parts are cheap
  15. Yes and got a little sun burn in the process
  16. No buyers but I really enjoyed the day. I thought that Joels car was just magnificent. a stunnignvehicle in every way. also the metallic red 280z that has been totally restored was just beautiful
  17. Hi If anyone is going to the show at Beaulieu today would be nice to meet. I am taking the black convertible on the back of a trailer to show it, and hopefully gain a buyer in the process.
  18. Guys One of my Contacts in Japan has offered me this car. It is a SWB Slicktop 1992 TT Manual I have enclosed the pictures I have available so you can see what it's all about. The stuff that is not obvious is that at some point the front end has been replaced. My contact says it was an insurance job and done by the main dealer. Also the car has 100,00 miles on the clock and the bodywork has some minor scratches on the bumpers and elsewhere, plus the spoiler has the usual paint cracking. I would not usually think about this but bearing in mind what you guys told me last week, I thought I would offer it up. I can get this here to be sold for a Maximun of £3200, possibly a little less. If some one wants it then let me know and I will start the ball rolling..Garry. I will answer any questions that I can
  19. So what would you suggest Gary? having never attended one of these shows in my life
  20. Wow!!! Thank you all so much for taking the time and trouble to give your opinions and thoughts. I have carefully read everyone, and picked out some of the key points that have been raised. Before I explain my conclusions let me say this. For me this is a venture that I willingly undertake and is not going to be my job. I work for a company and have done for 42 years, but I am also one of Ebays best vinyl sellers. In addition I sell rock band T shirts and Hoodies, and I have a love for the ZX. So I have many things on the go and selling cars is not about making shed loads of money it's just a fierce passion for the model. So this for me was all about bringing the best condition, low mileage cars into the UK, believing that like me enthusiasts would want to get their hands on something that doesn't come up for sale all that often. So from all your wise words I am thinking that the best solution is to focus my energy on Manual TT's that will sell between 4-7k depending on condition. I really can't bring myself to look at lower value and tatty vehicles as my mentality on this is 'would I want to own it?'.So I am going after some Manual TT's with up to 100,000 miles on the clock but in top condition. Also as I have already had some of the membership ask me to find certain vehicles, I will absolutely promote sourcing vehicles as another method of assisting with customers needs. I also hear the message about attending shows with the more exclusive vehicles and this is also something I will consider, and I have already placed the convertible on Classic, pistonheads, autotrader, and ebay. And as for Museum Grade. yep I agree! This is how I describe records when they are in mint condition. point taken not a great idea for a car that needs driving, I shall amend the listings where I can. Anyway I have a bit more to consider before I make definite trader plans, but again I would like to thank each and every one of you who has contributed to this thread. I appreciate the words and the encouragement some have shown. Garry
  21. Appreciate your thoughts and the length of your reply. Thank you. Shed may be wrong so I will rethink that one. I agree wholeheartedly with the modification senario. I believe the closer to stock the better. again thanks
