  1. i looked into buying a supra before i bought my Z and i found that if you convert to a single large turbo it gives at least 450bhp
  2. looked like a smart example, anybody on here?
  3. best a could find was £1600 with wheels and exhaust declared, am 24 zero no claims (first time av bothered to insure me car in me own name but been drivin since a was 17) i got a cd10 ban and 9 points on me licence, car is a 1991 import
  4. had my car rolling roaded today and it put out 356.9@ the flywheel with around 385ftlb torque, i was hoping for closer to 400bhp as i have seen better figures with less mods, i was going to upgrade to 555's so i could run more boost but was told i cant run anymore than 1bar(which im already running) without causing det, would upgrading to 555's give a performance increase or is it just for peace of mind ie knowing there will be sufficient fuel for 1bar boost? if i want to run more than 1 bar i will have to upgrade the pistons and if im upgrading the pistons i might aswell uprgade the con rods aswell and so on and so on to make labour costs more effective, how much would i be looking at to have my engine rebuilt to cope with around 500 bhp? mods already done are: upgraded turbos, ugraded smic's, stainless exhaust with de-cat, hks induction kit, hks bovs, hks boost controller, jdm chip could i get closer to 400 with 555's and chip to match? or should i just save up and get the whole lot done at once?
  5. looks like al have to save me pennies then :D

yea i got plenty experience of seeing them dissappear in my rear view mirror :D my mate had an evo4 which was quite quick and another mate has an evo7 with zorst, induction kit and tubular manifold, my standard uk auto tt matched it from 50mph onwards (to the speed limit of course) never played with one in my j-spec
  7. stop tryin 2 drink stella through your eyes then :D
  8. how does the racelogic system work?
  9. lmao thats quality!! i bought a mk3 tdi golf estate for a runabout am goin 2 try scuba divin in it now!!!
  10. was there this morning and got 356.9 at the flywheel and 303 at the rear wheels not sure how much torque coz i cant read the graph properly lol think its around 385, cost £45 for the run and the lads seem friendly enough, i was hoping for more as av seen bigger figures with less mods but still quite happy with it
  11. has anybody fitted this to their Z? i do quarter mile runs every couple of months and was thinking about fitting launch control, anybody any ideas how much it would cost to do and how i do it?
  12. some tw*t tried to have my wheels the other week! almost killed me and me gf!! woke up one mornin with the alarm goin off so i jumped up stuck sum pants on and ran out side, nobody there or anywhere to be seen, came back in thinkin maybe the wind had set it off or a cat, next day was takin the gf shoppin when i noticed a vibration when backin off the throttle at 70 so slowed to 50 then few minutes later i pulled up at tescos and the windscreen steamed up, water feed to the nearside turbo had burst, had the car recovered by the AA, next day fitted a new bit of pipe, washed the car then took it for a run, felt the vibration again and it was getting worse by the time i got to the sea front it was clunking from the rear so thinking maybe the diff was about to explode i pulled over and rang the AA again to get the car recovered AGAIN, told the guy what i thought was wrong and he called for a low loader to pick the car up, in the morning i went out to put the car up on axle stands and let it tick over in gear to work out where the noise was from and as i jacked up the nearside rear wheel i noticed it move so i shook it and the disc didnt move so i looked at the wheel nuts and they wer all loose except one which was missing altogether as the stud had snapped, it must have been the only one left tight before the alarm went off, i would love to catch them the horrible b*stards
  13. at an angle or just straight? i have ebc drilled and grooved disc with mintex pads, they can take a little abuse but not for very long :headvswal
  14. the general idea is to to keep the turbo spinning when changing gear but the car is fitted with re-circs as standard so all your changing is the noise
  15. thats what i did in the gf's 328 when i fitted f1's coz she drives as fast in the wet as she does in the dry so i pulled into a bustop round the corner and lit them up :D
  16. another thing i should add is new tyres are coated with something (am not sure what) to keep them looking new while they're in storage but also makes them a bit lairy when first fitted, especially when wet, bit like theres diesel on the road
  17. i ALWAYS run the car on Vpower i would rather run out of petrol trying to get to a shell station than put anything else in. lol never seen or heard popcorn cooking but i can tell when an engine isnt happy about something, am just a bit wary about det as it killed my last toy
  18. i work as a technician in a fast fit style garage and fit a few tyres when there isnt any mechanical work in and avons like are plastic compared to the compound that other manufacturers use and there a tw*t to fit especially low profile tyres, goodyear and michelins are so much easier to work with due to being a softer compound, if you want a half decent tyre for budget price go for maragoni zeta's i've heard they're quite good for how much you pay, have a cool tread pattern too nice big fat V
  19. i took my cheap and nasty boost gauge out yesterday after finding a blitz item in with all the spare parts that came with the car (cheers paul ;) ) after fitting it i found i wasnt running the boost i thought i was due to the crap gauge so i turned the boost controller up bit by bit till i got to 1bar it was a cool nite and now am worried incase when the warmer weather comes it mite detonate due to me setting the boost on a cool nite? car is chipped, uprated smic's, upgraded tubs, exhaust etc
  20. happy birthday bud, from me nd ur car ;)
  21. get the fat controller to explain that one!
  22. mine was already done when i bought it, simple mod and it makes a load of difference to the look of the car
  23. seems set up to me
  24. the Z comes with twin exhausts which looks great and the cars wouldnt look the same without them but IMO the single exit sounds better, just wondering what you lot think :D does anybody have any sound clips or videos to help ppl decide?
