my uk auto tt smells rich as owt when its cold and i get around 140-150 miles to a full tank around the doors, mot tester said it was running very rich but whatever fuel its usin its burnin properly, i think it mite have somethin to do with the air filters coz i pulled em out nd they were manky but instead of changin them i just shook sum of the cr@p out coz im goin for an induction kit soon so dnt see the point spendin xtra, anybody got a preference on fuel? i run mine on optimax to try nd keep things clean inside :D

turbo front bumper, nice find mate, almost as good as mine :D i bought a 1993 uk spec twin turbo auto with full heated leather and full service history for £1400, all it needed to get thru the mot was the drivers front caliper freein off and i changed the front tyres too coz it had remoulds on :nono:

nope coz your only insured on other cars as long as they're tax'd nd mot'd, but if ur mate insures the car he can drive it to the test station then to get tax :D

theres a black one with the 99 front bumper that av seen around the north sheilds area a few times, theres usually a wide bodied Z painted ford focus RS blue that passes my work every other day too, looks smart

nope i was the lad who fitted ur tyre mate :D sorry about the wait you should have explained u were in a hurry, its a first come first served basis there but if u explain u have a situation they will try and sort it out, i noticed ur car had been in the car park a while so i thought i would investigate, i was busy changing the front springs on a citroen C3 and im not supposed to fit tyres but there was quite a que infront of u so i thought i would help u out :D i dnt usually use my Z for work as i have a pug 306 diesel as a little workhorse plus it saves putting the extra miles on the Z

i will have to wait nd see whats happening with my mortgage first as me nd my gf are busy lookin for a house, we've had our offer accepted so we're just waiting to hear what the next step will be then i can plan a few bits nd bobs for the car :hyper:

i think its just down to personal choice really if they're both ducted properly i cant see why it would make a difference, IMO front mounts look the nuts but if they're poor quality then it will probably bring the power down or even cause damage due to not cooling the air properly

when i bought my 300 the auto box wasnt working, i had to select gears manually usin positions 1 and 2, i checked the fuses and the "ASCD control" fuse was blown,i changed this and it was fine until i thought i would try out cruise control, pressed the button and nowt happend,it wasnt till i had slowed down and went to pull away from a junction till i realised the fuse must have blown again, i changed the fuse again and kept away from the cruise control button and its been fine since,any ideas?

if the auto is quicker to a ton is it quicker to 60 aswell?

the escort uses the sierra floor pan so its a bit of a hybrid, u can tell a real escort cosworth from the fakes by the front calipers as there in the same place as the sierras,towards the rear of the car,anythin less than a cosworth they're towards the front, anyways am totally off topic yea the cosworth can look mean and with the rite mods are very quick but as ChrisC said the Z can rival supercars on looks combined with the fact it could be made as fast as one i would go for the Z everytime =)
