a mate of mine had a 350bhp wrx impreza and off the mark av never felt anything like it but after about 110 i could keep up in the 328 beemer i had at the time, anything below and he was just a flame spitting speck in the distance. would love to put my car up against that because i gauge all my cars off how quick his felt but he sold it a while ago. theres a certain place around mine where people see what speed they can get to under a bridge from a round-a-bout and i have around 15mph ontop of this impreza but the impreza just felt so much quicker off the mark.

on the A1 at around 9pm, i came off the slip road from the top of the A19 and pulled out behind you then slowed as i passed to give the thumbs up but ya didnt see, must of been too busy watchin the road :cool:

anybody fancy trying them?

about an hour ago, in a lay by, didnt get the reg as I was out letting off some steam after arguing with the gf and smashing me phone :mad:

its only done 50-odd thousand miles so i dont get it either, wheres closest to us that i could take it? i keep meaning to borrow a compression tester from somebody at work :(

i actually have a vid on my phone of me sitting behind a 360 modena and him hitting the limiter trying to get away, so :tongue: to anybody who thinks a 360 would "kill" a Z, they only have around 230-odd lbft to the wheels, fair enough on a track with similar drivers the ferrari would get away but in a straight line a decent powered Z would be in front.....till it broke down lol

I have an auto tt with 128k on the clocks and hasnt needed topping up since I serviced it! mite just swap the engines over :rofl:

nope, was using oil a bit when i got it its just getting worse :cry: was using about half a litre a month now it will use that in about a week. been told its possibly cracked ringlands as it spat the dipstick out once. still quick though :D \/\/\/\/

thats a rather good point :cool: i need an engine, just havnt got 1k :cry:

she's started drinking oil :cry: i sorted the boost leaks, had her rolling roaded and done a few quarter mile runs, goes fine i just have to keep a close eye on the oil level, going to buy a second hand engine soon and buy sum decent internals and maybe get the heads sent off for some work :cool: and before somebody else says it: OFF TOPIC :rofl:

yea me mate was sayin you had a chat, i saw you pulling out near the auctions in benton, looks tidy, a think i was in mine and gave you the thumbs up, yep still got the manual i doubt i will ever get bored with that thing, i want to get it rolling roaded again on some different rollers because i really dont beleive the figures i was given plus i was playing with something the other day that i was expecting to leave me for dead, it was red,has a horse on the bonnet and wails like a banshee, was chuffed to say the least :cool:

well when i ran the 13.8 i had a boost leak and i was running against a caterham super7 which sounded like it was powered by a bike engine or something else that could rev for fun and he was using a sequential box too, all this through toyo R888's and i admit he had me off the mark but the gap didnt get any bigger and he ran a 13.2 so he only had me by .6 of a second, if i didnt have the boost leak i could have possibly closed the gap. after reading that through again I've noticed i just proved your point :rofl: BUT that thing COULD launch and he didnt murder me and i wouldnt consider a high revving caterham super7 a slow car, obviously if we had been on a track he would of wiped the floor with me but if it had of been a straght line over half a mile to a mile i would have passed him

only runnin 1bar, but when i bought the car it had some severe boost leaks so was thinkin maybe the extra fuel coul have been washing the oil off the cylinder bores causing accelerated wear, still runs perfect and pulls like a train but does tend to use quite a bit of oil, the car gets used almost everyday and can use upto a litre a week :cry: how much could i pick up a decent second hand lump for? how much for uprated rods and pistons? 1-2k?

the car has pushed the dipstick out twice now in about a month and spat about alf a litre of oill allover the n/s turbo, wasnt pretty, i thought i had blew it up! is it time for me to buy a spare engine and start rebuilding it or do i just need a new dipstick coz it feels slacker than the local bike?

my Z has 357bhp and 385lbft of torque and the only thing thats managed to get away from me off the mark was my mates kawasaki ninja but once we were movin i got stuck behind him and had to keep backin off the throttle, was well happy, I've played with allsorts and the only thing thats gave me a good run (apart from me mates bike) was some fancy tvr that I cant even find on google that had some tuning companys name on the back of it, i sat behind him just listening to that lovely noise then he went for it, i had been holding in 3rd (just incase ;) ) so i opened her up and sat behind him through third and fourth then he pulled over and gave me the thumbs up, good man :D

can u not get the hot spanner in to help? wont need as much force then ;) always comes in handy where i work :hyper:

cant remember much but i survived this with a broken toe!

red with black rims? that would be me mate, didnt see you parked up but saw you drive out, nice wheels, exhaust sounds nice too ;)
