Blogs - Would any of these be useful ?
Some of you may remember that I had my own site called 300zx-mods.co.uk. Shortly after the Zed went off the road I stopped updating this and a year later didn't bother renewing. I was browing the hard drive on my PC last night (found some interesting stuff but that's another story). I found all the write ups with step by step instructions and step by step picture guides that I wrote. Each blog gives details and pictures of exactly what screws and clips you need to undo to get parts off, tips and tricks of removals and anything else you would possibly need to do the job yourself. The reason I started the site was becuase back in 2002 it was hard to find somone to do the work for you, so we all started doing it ourselves, boosting each others confidence and working in pairs or groups until we were confident that we could do it ourself. I still have the following Blogs: 1) Remove and Retrim the intire interior pannels on a 2+2 in either vinyl or leather. 2) Remove dismantle and Retrim both the front and rear seats on a 2+2. 3) Remove the orange lense from front indicators (Jap spec). 4) Fitting Traction control - exactly how to do it with full pictures of what wires on the ECU and ABS module to interupt/slice into. 5) Converting from Air filter to an induction kit. 6) Sound proofing the car ready for an ice install. 7) Building your own Sub rack from wood and fiber glass 8) Upgrading your Brakes to R34 Calipers, pads and discs (obviously this will help you even if you just want to change your discs and pads and leave your old calipers in place). 9) Chaning your gear shift bushes. 10) Fitting a short shifter 11) Fitting a boost controller 12) Changing the Pcv valves 13) Changing the Dials 14) Fitting a kmh to MPH convesion kit. 15) Fitting 99 spec rear lights 16) Rear / front bumper removal 17) Stripping the front of the engine down to change the water pump. 18) Fitting front and rear strut / brace bars 19) Fitting blow off valves (BOVS) 20) Fitting A pillar pods and after market gauges (oil pressure, boost and water temp) 21) Replacing your radiator with upgrades 22) Replacing your oil cooler with upgrades 23) Replacing your intrcoolers with upgrades 24) Replacing your viscous fan with electric 25) How to make switch pannel for your addition mods. 26) Replacing your steering wheel with an aftermarket (including hub) 27) Replacing your Shocks (front and rear) 28) Swapping out your Rear Diff 29) Removing your engine - this covers gear box, propshaft and exhaust removal I can't think of what else I have but if a few people are interested in any of the above let me know and as soon as I get a chance I post them up.

Rear Differental Bushings
Does the car jerk when you get this noise ?. It could well be the internal clutch of the diff slipping. I used to get this click clunk sound on my old tomei race drifting diff. Especially when you are turning at very low speeds, it's bascially because one of the back wheels is moving quicker than the other one so th clutch slips to allow the additional rotation the wheel needs and avoids locking up the wheel.

Strange Noises From The rear
Does it vibrate as well at about 80 mph or is it just the noise ?

Nearly there, just a last issue
To answer the other part of your post about turbo pressure when stationary. You shouldn't get any turbo pressure above 0 psi when you are stationary, that's normal.

vibration....
If it's a vibration only when you brake then it's pretty much going to be brake related. Is there any movement in the capilers ? - any slight movement will cause vibrations Did you change the pads with the disks ? - old pads on new discs cause uneven surface cover. When you lowered the car did you get the camber adjusted ?. - Dropping or raising the car will throw the camber out, you can fit adjustables to correct the camber or you may be able to get hold of a camber plate kit from somewhere which allows you to use the thickness plater required to stop the tire wear.

Greddy side mount i/cs
I tested at Thor before and after. However it was Greddy SMIC's, howe rad and electric fan. I doubt very much that the Howe or electric fan would give me any BHP gains, but the IC's did let me add another 2 psi before det, but then I believe the det was caused by the injectors maxing out rather than the heat sink. In terms of BHP, it was about 23 BHP gain if I remember correctly. Not a great deal but I bought them as part of a bigger project, one bit at a time so to speak.

Yellow Z with round rear light convesion
Blonde lady in Yellow Z. I pulled up next to you in the petrol station just off the A1. I'm not sure what area it was, I was heading back from Linconshire to London. I was going to ask you if you were on this forum but you were in a rush and ran in to pay when I pulled up then ran back and pulled away. Looks like you had just had your rear spoiler removed.

It's a sad day, but I've made up my mind...
Update... I've contacted a solicitor already for advice, however during that time I have also had contact with the mechanic. After talking to the solicitor and then the mechanic we have all agreed that finished or not the car will be delivered to my house this weekend. If not then he is fully aware that it goes legal. Fingers crossed. I'd rather not have to go legal, but as most of you have already said, I've been patient enough. So this weekend will tell. Either car back or legal action which will include a lot more than just getting the car back ;). I have decided that depending on how finished the car is when I get it back it will be going up for sale in the spring of next year (depending on how much work I have to do to finish it off). Once it goes on sale it will be completely finished with no problems at all down to the tinyest of stone chips or a smear on the glass. It will be Mint which is sad, but the only way I could possibly sell it after all this time.

Simba - R.I.P
I feel for you mate, sorry to hear this. I know what's it's like to have to have your dog put down. We had to have our german shepard put down as well. Deaf, blind and unable to use her back legs anymore. Kinda makes you feel guilty like you are killing the poor thing by having her put to rest, but she just couldn't go on anymore, too much pain. :(

It's a sad day, but I've made up my mind...
Thought it was worth one last try.... Drove up there today (3 hours to get there), checked out where he said the cars were, couldn't find any sign of them. Drove to his house and waited outside for 2 hours. No one home.. Spoke to a neighbour, got her to get past the dogs and drop a message through the letter box.. An hour later spoke to his missus or ex-missus or whoever she is. She will pass the message onto him, got the he doesn't live here only stays here now and again story. So in summary, I have no idea where my car is, I can not get in contact with him at all. I don't know where he lives. So what's my next step now ?. Contact the police first and report the car stolen or contact citizens advice or even a solicitor ?. Anyone know the quickest route to getting my car back, if it's still in one piece that is ?.

It's a sad day, but I've made up my mind...
Thanks for the support guys, If I had the address of where the car was I would be well up for go getting it, but I can't seem to get this information out of him as he only ever text me and doesn't call. I will have to go up there and snoop about at where I think it may be first to see if I can locate it.
