Which Petrol?????
Ok guys lets not get into one about petrol. Those who use Optimax including myself know what difference it makes to the car and the engine. I can personally comapre this to super unleaded as I used this when I first got the car. I think we have to just accept that unmark was told that super is just as good. We all know this is not the case as most of us have used both and the majority of us are still using optimax. But when it comes to our views, I guess there is a fine line between advising and forcing :D .

how long you owned your zed?
Since October. Spent £2,820.46 so far. excluding tax, petrol, insurance. Strange thing is nothing has ever gone wrong with it. I have a feeling that this car will be with me for a very long time. I also have a feeling that this car will see a great number of changes in 2003, my bank account will also be -£10k or so. I'm ready to MOD !!!!!! :D (just haven't got the £10k yet  )

Lovely Zed spotted
Just saw a lovely looking Grey 300zx in Euston, while I was coming back from the pub. Had standard arches, the same rear bumper as Iain's (Mac_1) with what looked like a GTR-Z front bumper and high wing arch rear spoiler. Licence was SGT, anyone in here ?

Which Petrol?????
My car did the same when I first put Optimax in it. You should really be using Optimax. Most of us on here do. I would never use anything else. You want to get the Octane level as close to the Japanese petrol as possible which is around the 100 mark. Optimax has an octane level of 98. A few people here also put Octane boost in there tank ever couple of fill ups. It's about £6 from Halfords. This is not essential but it does help performance. The mis-fire may be caused by a sudden change of petrol. The previous owner was probably using normal unleaded from Tesco or something. You may be able to get rid of the mis fire by resetting the ECU. You can do this by disconnecting the negative battery terminal for about 30 mins. Your car may seem a little out of shape when you reconnect the battery again, but don't worry it will correct itself. It's just the ECU learning to talk to the engine again. Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on.

Oh, so it's not yours then Stuart, what a surprise ????. I guess I did scare a few people with the flash. I just hope no one realised I was taking apicture whilst at the traffic lights. Thinking about it I must have looked a little on the sad side. I mean who takes pictures at traffic lights from a japenese super car ?.

Hi Stuart, Nothing wrong with the "honk". I have that on my car. It's not easy getting your car to "goosehonk" it take a specalist touch. LOL Hi Devil, Fat Tony was looking at some BOV's or Dump Values from a company (can't remember their name). I think it worked out less than £300 the pair (fitted). Blitz are very good but Marc was telling me that these are £275 each without fitting. F.T. , Can you supply info on your research into the BOV's, i.e. contact number, URL etc ? Thanks Mate

Who's car is it anyway.
Hi All, I've seen this car a few times now, but never managed to get along side to see who is driving it. The car is usually seen on the Eastern Avenue in the Romford area. Is this your car in the picture ????

The 60k service is a big one mate. It not only includes cam belt (which is the majority of the cost) you also have the other 3 belts, water pump, thermostat, plugs, air filter (if required) & oil and filter.

smw1..........
Hey, What's going on here then. Is it pick on Stuart day ;) . I bet if I did beat James to the sill's you would have wanted some kind of part exchange for your bumper LOL. To which of cause I would have had to oblige, therefore it may well have been in your interest if I used my lightning fast powers to get there before James. Oops maybe I shouldn't have sent this. I may have given James some idea's as I know that he also was after that bumper. Now I'm starting to get worried.
