Z009 General Discussion Thread
Will there be a combined section for 300zx's or are the individual clubs having thier own stands ?. If it's the later do we need to enquire on the relevant club for a space for our car ?

Condensation on rear screen
That's the one ! Yep, one of the common problems. The grommet shrinks so slightly in the winter and moves around when you turn the wiper on. Due to the tilt in the wiper arm the pressure is put on the back of the grommet and causes the front to lift. A new grommet is very cheap but then to fit it you need to take the rear arm off which means stripping off the rear panels.

Swedish 240z
I ended up watching all of the vids last night. I have to say not only am I impressed with the work he has done on the car so far, I'm also very impressed with the video editing he has done. One thing I didn't understand. He has all the rust cut out and new panels made up and installed, then he has it all treated, then he does the lead welding, then he has it all primed, then he has the roll cage fitted, then he starts hacking bits out of the chasis to fit the rear suspension. Shouldn't he had done all that first then the treated it and had it primed ?

Condensation on rear screen
The rear wiper grommet comes loose, usually at the front towards the rear screen. When opening your boot after a period of rain you may get some water dripping from inside the rear pannels of the hatch itself. The moisture will not start to appear until the interior warm up, i.e. you get in and stat driving. I've had this problem for a while but on sunday I used some of Captins leak seal from Yassa so I'll let you know if this had done the job.

Idle
If you can't get the pressure form an electric tyre pump you may well have a boost leak. Using a compressor is the only way you're gonna check for sure. Can you not take you car to a petrol station and use thier tyre inflator machine to test ? Or even better get a garage to rig a compressor up to it.

Anyone managed to Sell thier Z ?
I'm just wondering if anyone has managed to sell thier modified Z in the last couple of months ?. I've had a few offers but not anywhere near what I was after. Although I was thinking of waiting due to the market, I've now got my heart set on a nice X5 and I'm kinda thinking that I could sit on the price for ages and still not sell, so I guess I have to be a little more realistic and drop the price by a few grand.

What a muppet !
Don't forget to put it in with the nipple at the top because if you don;t you run the risk of getting an air lock inside the engine itself :o . Very common mistake when chaning the thermostat.

Yup, You can see it from the A127 but will need to take the slip road off when you see it. As it's actually on the slip road just off the A127.

Does anyone know anyone that wants a rabbit ?
Forgot to mention. Daisy is also kept outside but we often open her cage and let her run about for a few hours on end. Also after giving her a brush we will often let her run around the house for a bit. She usually just finds a quiet spot and watches TV for a bit before returning outside to her cage for some food drink or the use of her toilet. * This is not the cage we will be giving away for free. The free cage is the not as tall but a little longer also it's only 1 level and it's a plastic base with metal frame. The one in the picture below is daisy current hutch which we will probably sell seperately.

Does anyone know anyone that wants a rabbit ?
It's hard to tell Jimmy, If you put it straight in the cage with the other rabbit then the rabbit who lives there will probably attack her. You need to introduce them on nutural ground. it's called bonding. While you are introducing them you then need to clean out the cage that they will live in and remove all scent. It's also worth while changing it around so the initial rabbit doesn't recognise it as well. If your inital rabbit has been nutered your shouldn't have many problems. Daisy has also been nutered.

Does anyone know anyone that wants a rabbit ?
Unfortunatley my daughter has developed an allergy to our long haired bunny so we will need to find her a new home. She's been very well cared for, she's 2 years old and up to date on all her vacinations. She's just had a full health check at the vets and is in very good health. No teeth or nail problems either. She will sit on your lap all day long if you give her a nice brush. Can provide a cage with bottle, bowl and ball for her to play with all free of charge. We are looking for a good home for her and will be sad to see her go.
