  1. Ah fair enough, its just a fella I bought my M3 off, he used to import 70's corvettes and then restore them to resell. He had a few there at the time, lovely things wondered if it was one of his :)
  2. Where did you get your vette from? Wasnt from EMC perofrmance in Swadlincote was it?
  3. Its either ever 60k or 5 years I think. How much was the receipt for? And what garage was it? Any chance you could call them and ask what work they did to the car?
  4. Thats what its all about... I was looking at the HHC website again the other day.... BAD ME! :D
  5. Lucky *******! Ive just got a f'in parking ticket issued by an automatic camera at a car park in st helens at sports direct, so beware if anyone uses that car park. You get 60 minutes, and they havnt got the common decency to come and put the ticket on with a man. Its done by ANPR! Im sure there are no signs there anywhere! £75!!!
  6. I had the grey one for just under 2 years and was reliable as anything! I did convert it to a manual but there was nothin wrong with the autobox in the car so I sold it on! Lol my new one I have had for 2 months or so!
  7. Im not sure why but all of my cars have done it, my parents do it as well. My M3 was horrendous, i did think there was something wrong with it at first, it just takes several miles to clear if you drive them carefully (as I do to warm stuff up gently!) As for economy, its perhaps a little on the low side but unless it fails on emissions, and It will do well too as they fall under the "does it kill the driver from the fumes" yes or no test because these things are so old. I would put that down to a cold engine on short runs, these cars are horrific on juice in that environment. Hell fire I could watch the fuel gauge go down on my old one when it was cold on a cold day doing stop start driving... eek! Speaking of which, for old times sake!
  8. Ah its fine, if i go to sleep it means im one more step closer to work tomorrow.... stupid pharmacy! Stupid machine! 8-12mpg isnt great I admit but if your not doing mega miles then.... Is it getting to temperature and how long of a drive are you taking it on? Mine does about 15mpg and thats a mixture of spirited driving, motorway cruising and general running about. As for the clouds of "smoke" it will be condensation this time of year, mine does it lots. Nothing to worry about, just a trait of larger engined cars (notice most 6 and 8 cylinder BMW's plume smoke/condensation this time of year!)
  9. I must admit I had a similar set up on my old car. It was better than standard, but then again i was going to new disks and good pads over old disks and worn pads... I'll not be making the same mistake again when choosing my next brake upgrade!
  10. What sort of fuel economy are you experiencing?
  11. Ah no worries mate it was because I had a rare spare weekend! As it happens iv got a clio sport to go look at with a mate and an S1 106 rallye on sunday lol
  12. Ah good point lol of course I still took the key with me when I left it on t timer, mine wasn't wired so great, you could drive it with no key lol but the steering lock became an issue! You could just put the key back into it and turn it to the correct position and turn the t timer of, worked a charm! Lol
  13. Doesn't the steering lock come on in yours? Mine did!
  14. Are we knocking this on the head? Doesn't seem much interest willr try and organise something a little later in the year when the weather is better and people have tax on their zeds!
  15. Lol oh dear. What car was it? To be fair it was a pretty foolish thing to do! Unless you have run lock on your car, or a turbo timer. I used to use mine on my oldzed when t was cold and I was nipping to the cash point!
  16. very nice! Always a soft spot for the Mk4 supra, although bit of a big ass ;) Performance is out of this world and such strong cars im told! Good choice mate! Seems a shame after all the work you put into reshelling your zed. How much did the supra set you back if you dont mind me asking?
  17. Hmm to be honest guys not many people can make it at any time! Im free both days so happy to organise something on the Sunday if that works for the other people that are available! :)
  18. Some of us end up back in a zed ;) lol Im sure you'll be back some day mate...!
  19. My old Grey one came from this fellow, he always has interesting cars I will say! Looks a lovely thing just seems expensive, but I wish people would pay that for the cars! Would make the rest of em worth more!
  20. Whats the interior like Jeff? Dibs if leather!
  21. Saturday sounds like its the day then. For me its going to be Lunch at the earliest. Have to drop han at the airport at 11 or so Sat morning. Now need to decide on a location, has anyone any sugestions?
  22. Yeah i figured so. I wasnt sure wether to leave the caliper on and remove the pads so the pistons would only extend to the disk or wether to put a piece of wood in the caliper to stop the pistons extending too far.
  23. We used to do these fair;y regularly but it sort of fell by the way side but shall we give it ago this month? Bit of lunch and a chat somewhere perhaps? I'm free Saturday 27th afternoon or Sunday 28th. I'm not too fussed where we meet but i propose somewhere around the wigan area maybe? I know there are a few members close by and its not too far for me from lancaster or too far for the southport lads either! Thoughts and ideas please - clock is ticking!
