  1. Phones are magical things, they work both ways ;) Good luck with the replacement engine mate!
  2. Dry joint most likely the case! Normally need to take the cluster out and look for any cracked joints in the solder and repair as required.
  3. haha, yeah its the worst idea ever... The girls always come back with some list of huge starts that lets be honest not likely to ever meet let alone have a chance with.. My response would be: 1. Her sister (assuming she has a hot sister) 2. Local barmaid at the pub 3. her best mate 4. her other mate (assuming hotness is acceptable!) 5. you get the idea!
  4. Well, its got quite alot of shite nailed onto it. Bonnet, wings, skirts and rear bumper by the looks of things... Could be quite nice of returned to stock!
  5. Happy birthday mate, big 4-0 this time?? LOL Just kidding enjoy your day!
  6. Yeah - very different to the term Jailbait... LOL
  7. Generally unlocks them to do what you want with the, so maybe use them on a different network than they were originally supplied, or unlock internet tethering or allow you to change parts of the interfac that arent normally customisable. That kind of thing :)
  8. Auto - standard brakes - hideous random body panels. Looks fit for the bin to me, maybe he meant £700??
  9. Yeah shadow chrome has been mentioned to me in the past... hmm can do them any colour just well aware that alot of colours can look gash! Yeah Im sure they forget the size, never have an issue with a proper bus, or a mini bus just these damn lune valley villages (or pillagers as I used to call them as one ran me of the road a few years ago in my first BM) Theyve been rebadged now but im convinced the drivers just get the rid mist!
  10. I would be suprised if they came with the PDC sensors! Also might find they take the rubbing strips out of them as well, remember the M3 bumper is very different to the normal (obviously) and the M Sport one! :)
  11. Hmm got a slight issue, one of the local buses was blundering through the village today, the drivers forget that althogh the same length as a minibus they are the same width as a normal bus so i had no where to go as he didnt pull into the space I left for him. Stupid fool shouldnt have come up the road anyway, obstruction was on his side! My zed is too low to get on the curb there so long story short iv curbed one of my wheels badly, and caught the rear wheel as well. Pain in the arse, although I was never too fond of the black with red rim anyway - what colours should I consider? At the moment I'm really fancying a bronze colour a bit like the old wheels that were on it before i got the car
  12. Im sure it was one that was for sale at a place in birmingha, i recognise the car and the wheels. Shame really as it looked quite clean.
  13. Very nice mate, looks a few bits to do your hardtop is a nice extra - Have you got the stand to put it on in summer? Becareful not to damage it as they can be a fortune! Try cotswold BMW for parts, they are a fair way from you but offer free delivery on parts and are very competative on price. Things like your parking sensors, bumper shock absorbers etc. Is the original bumper with it? I would try and save the exhaust if I were you as they are very dear items from BMW, I wouldnt recommend putting an aftermarket one on it - it will be unlikely to offer any performance gain and not look right. And induction kit is all you need on those, keeps them silent on a run yet they howl when given the beans. Be gentle with it - READ the owners book, and if it didnt come with one then get one for it. I expect it will have an oil temperature gauge there will be a bit in the manual about the max revs and engine load to NOT excede until the oil is at the correct temperature and dont have a monkey service it or you'll get problems. They are also VERY sensitive to the oil grade, 10w60 is your magic number. As a rule mine used to take about 6 miles (I didnt exceed 2500rpm as a rule) to get the oil temperature to 70*c plus, book stated no more than 4k till 50*c but i like to err on the side of caution, 100k engine and all that!)
  14. Aye left hooker van ;) LOL Aye, poor old zed was a bit on the smokey side on boost as well cough cough! Still, it managed to pull away from my van so it cant be that sick!

  16. Sorry what were we talking about.... distracted...., back in 5!
  17. Booting up Funki-opinionater.....
  18. Not for the boost sensor as my car doesnt have one being a 95, they loost the standard boost gauge. Ive beent old its the AIV? Ah right thats for the aircon stuff - my old one must have had it then, and yes sadly the aircon has been junked on this car :( Silly really since its a slicktop, woudlnt have minded too much if i coudl take the roof off!
  19. I flashed you out in the roadworks inbetween J33 and J34 around 7 ish this evening in the white astra van, tried to give you thumbs up but hands at 10 and 2 looking straight ahead :( My Passenger took this ;)
  20. I've been having a further explore around my engine bay and have found a few puzzling bits... What this connector for? What should this (badly!) capped hose coming from the balance bar be for? (Yes that is an inch of pipe and a screw cable tied it, and yes it leaks as I have found out! Also, what the hell is this thing thats disconnected by the bonnet catch, dont remember my old one having it but it appears to be some pipe that runs through the bonnet catch area but no hoses plugged onto either end of it, although the electrical connecter still appears to be connected.
  21. Well that is a fair point I suppose! worth checking over!
  22. Aye, low milage as well. Pitty its S1 but cant ask for everything for buttons can you!
  23. Spotted this, clean looking thing and CHEAP!!! http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1652461.htm
  24. Perhaps the winnings from when it was a street racer ;)
  25. Hmm, if its a standard rover affair then it'll be 150-160bhp at best. I know they sound nice, but its an old engine now. Do you have a 280zx? Or are you planning on putting this in your z32?! I doubt you could loose 450kg from a z32!
