  1. if the liquidators are in there then you should eventually get some money from it, however its very unlikely to be the full amount. Is there anything that you could remove and resell? Being electrical I suspect its cabling etc? This happened to dad a few years ago and although he couldnt get much out he managed to get a few items from the cabinets they had installed which helped in the long run.
  2. There should be some fixings for hose clips etc along each side? Or had you already removed those. Does look a work of art an amazing thing really. I wish mine was polished :D
  3. Great news mate! :) Glad you've got a plan, you'll find the time even if it has to wait a bit!
  4. Quite intereting that the engine is from the same family as the 350z's motor. Cool car, shame about the slush box!
  5. Daz's isnt it?? LOL.. (or Baz's... lol) Z31, LWB Z32 i think and a vert there at very least, cant really tell whats behind.
  6. I'm a long way behind! Total Posts: 3,689 Posts Per Day: 2.34
  7. Yeah I did know about your situation I'm sorry to hear mate. Wel if your ever up in the lancaster area, or we ever manage to get a meet going on you would be more than welcome to come out in mine! :)
  8. Lol very true, just out of interest have you been in a TT manual?
  9. I dont think its a million miles of? Damaged yes but it is a manual twin turbo, end of the day its worth a reasonable sum to break as parts. Or even could be used to turn somethng like an NA auto into a performance machine ;)
  10. Some installed Toads, earlier :D:D
  11. Bone his dog.... Jezza Good effort on the MOT but only 933 miles a year?! Hell I dont use mine (infact I even have people say to me wahts the point in it you never drive it) and still do 4 or 5k a year!
  12. Take the shit out of the boot and go on a diet... Autos do feel fairly slow, I never thought mine was particularly quick. They are quite refined in a way, smooth power delivery or more relentless power delivery as they dont drop boost through the gears. Sit it at 10- 15mph and floor it, it'll kickdown into first and then it'll show you its true colours!
  13. Haha 80's.... 86 to be precise (as in 1986, I'm not 86!) Its a good saying! One my dad uses, who works in electronics and I work in IT so not something you might expect lol
  14. Toys back in pram, thats the spirit! :D
  15. Aw man its so dam close! Just out of interest, this is not a ground breaking engine is it? Surely this issue with the rockers must have been come accross by others using this engine in its natural habitat? There must be some fix for it as its a fairly major issue as you've said and someone must have found the reason for it! I'm sure you'll find a new house mate (young student bird, around 19? Laughing - get a student and still get your discount on council tax for single occupnecy!) to spread the bills, as you hve sunk so much into it and its so so so close surely the old saying of "don't spoil the ship for a hapeth of tar" springs to mind - besides you've plenty of time before the next drag challange!. Change your sig to drag winner 2012 and stop being silly! :)
  16. Version S was introduced in the October of 94. Used standard bumper as all models up to 99 spec I was lead to believe that the later cars had a red badge - mine does! I agree Sudesh's car is nicer!
  17. Assuming your meaning that you dont believe it to be a 96 model... Its at very least a late 94 as its at very least a series 4 car! Electronic hicas, table rear spoiler, no boost gauge and the proper S4 manual seats, manual air con and SRS steering wheel... However the front nose badge should be red. :) Not a fan of the kit, shame its been defaced but each to their own. Price is very strong, but then again zeds do hold a huge price over in mainland europe.
  18. I'm not sure if the system is still fitted to my car or not to be honest! But I do have the symptons, I think it still is but need to check!
  19. Well bugger me, mine is a sod for starting when its warm (not hot and not cold) so I wonder if its this.... Perhaps my PRVR is goosed!
  20. To be fair, even with a few lbs of boost on an NA engine would have a huge impact, obviously being such higher compression than a TT is going to make a huge difference, infact wasnt there an NA converted using a rear mounted turbo, STS was the company? That was a fair project! Easy to change the turbo as well :D
  21. Put a turbo on it, hell infact go all out and put 2 on... wait a minute :D ;)
  22. Your 325i and 328i though were 192 and 193bhp respectivly... I admit the 328i were strangled (although a manifold will see them around the 220bhp mark) however the 325i does have a higher specific output per litre than an NA 300zx ;) 74 vs 77 or so
  23. Some people are idiots I'll admit! Again silly and dangerous, it isnt as convienient I know but got to draw the line somwhere! lol
  24. I think the term is OEM + :D
