  1. So, just to confirm a few points as I fancy giving this a go now! Would you think leather will be more difficult to work with but would look better? Take tweed off all panels except cente console lid and doors?
  2. Looking very good so far mate! Hey - you got a Navan knob! Nice.

He said that without his lips moving.
  4. I have a quick one.......my starter packed up in the Z and I had it re-conditioned. Now at work there is a pit in the garage....but a very very shallow one. You have to kinda kneel down in there. So I'm under the car and fitting new starter motor back on but forgot to disconnect battery and ZAP!! fookin earthed out my ratchet on the body somewhere, almost welding it to it. Right, that's prob fooked it I think but carry on to fit it anyway after disconnecting battery. My Z was off the road for a few days while workshop had starter motor so was keen to get it back on the road and was annoyed with myself for shorting it out. So, all fitted, all cramped up and squashed in this fookin tiny pit. Was a right pita. Got back in the car, here we go......turn key.......nothing......dead......not a sausage. I lose my temper and start smashing things up in the garage. Then realised it was in DRIVE. Was fine afterwards. :slap:
  5. Thanks for that but you say it sticks better to the tweed than to the plastic underneath but then say take the tweed off everything except the doors?
  6. Just a quick question if I can jump in - Is it always better to take off the tweed or cover on top of it? I guess it would be tricky to get adhesion to the tweed?
  7. http://www.nomadracing.co.uk/gauges.html# Got mine from here, very good quality and good guy who runs the show.
  8. Rare ?? Every fookers got one! Those rocking horses want to clear up after themselves!
  9. This thread has been well and truly hijacked..........but someone said to me on sunday that it was a bit quiet recently on the piss taking front. Just doing my bit to readdress the balance.
  10. Sorry mate......... I know you want him all to yourself. You 2 were getting ever so cosy over lunch on sunday! I felt a right gooseberry.

  18. By how wide? and where from dude? At that price I could have a practice first!
  19. Oh, I thought it was £50 all up. Yeah, has worked out a bit expensive. Bummer, good luck with it though. I have been finding out how much leather is and a hide seems around £90 and is roughly 6' x 6' tapering down to 3' at one end. Do you think this would be enough?
  20. Which would've cost more than £20 I'm sure. So hasn't turned out too bad? I know its annoying but I think the guy has been fair with his refund offer.
  21. I have been looking into this and it seems a hide is around £90. What are you using? Leather or vinyl?
  22. Yeah! It was useless !!
