  5. Ah shit........time you got rid of those 80's wheels anyway mate! LOL :) And congrats.
  6. A new slave cyl is about £50 new so I'm thinking might aswell go for MAX Series?
  7. RPS? ACT? Anything else to be considered? Is there one considered better or is it down to personal preference? I mean, are there any particular characteristics of either? RPS is £345 / RPS MAX series with slave cyl (that I need anyway) £420 from Smithy ACT is £399 from MJP Thanks guys, any info or comments appreciated. Yes, I am thinking of going manual.
  8. What if you were ginger AND had a big nose?
  9. Removing the rear rotors requires a little additional effort. The emergency brake doesn't use the caliper like other cars do, it has it's own set of conventional brake shoes inside the rotor 'hat'. To get the rotor off the axle, make sure the emergency brake is released. Tap the rotor with a plastic mallet to get it to release from the hub. If that doesn't work, there are two threaded holes in the hat area to screw in pulley puller studs. Either attach a puller there, or get two bolts that fit the holes, twist the rotor where the bolts can be threaded all the way through without hitting the brake components inside & make contact with the backing plate. Just tighten them up until the rotor comes loose. copied & pasted from ttzd.com
  10. Maybe there is like a "setting the car up on the hubs" type charge, then time on there afterwards?
  11. Chunk - you don't fancy giving it a go yourself? I'm guessing it would be tricky to lean over with the leg?? Or go to your nearest auto-electrician. First thing is to get hold of new connectors, I am doing a Courtesy order soon and can get you small stuff like that if that is any help? What about the plugs dude? Are you confident they are ok. Did you read those links I posted?
  12. Look at the state of one of my old one's.....now that isn't going to be doing anyone any favours is it? It is bound to be the wiring to injectors or coilpacks I would say bud. How old are the plugs btw?
  13. Have you looked at the actual wiring to the injectors? (inside) Do they look green and oxidised? Mine had a terrible miss and backfire and replacing injector connectors cured all. Your snapped clips aren't going to be helping at all. I would certainly look at replacing those asap. I mean, coilpacks and injectors provide the 2 most important things - fuel and spark! With our cars getting pretty old now the wiring really is an issue, I reckon 9/10 faults are electrical/wiring related rather than a failure of a unit or component. All connectors etc have had 13 years+ or so of getting fookin hot, cooling down, again and again.
  14. LMFAO!! Yeah.......but look at the dish on those shiney mother fookers!
  15. Can you beleive these went for £387? ($689) 18's aswell. I quite fancied them but the company wouldn't ship to UK........bummer.
