A thought If any one wanted to visit the show details of where Matching green is Matching Green is in a Bermuda Triangle area bordered by Harlow and the M11, Chipping Ongar and several smaller hamlets. You only see it if you are truly going there - not somewhere you stumble across on the way to somewhere else. Once in there you may never emerge. The Show is held on the Village green and caters for a cosmopolitan selection of veteran, vintage, classic, modern classic and custom vehicles. Always something interesting to see, coupled with village stalls, autojumble, hog roast and tea and cakes. The village pub is within walking distance and does excellent Sunday lunch.

Hey guys just had a troll through the Z Clubs site re meetings and this month ie tomorrow the Z Clubs SE Group will not be at the Halfway house as they are meeting at The Matching Green Car Show instead Just thought I would give you the heads up to save disapointment

Hey guys before most of you had your Z32s The owners of them were just the same as most of the 350owners are now They used to look at me if I flashed them as if I was a bit of shite (spoz that leaves me open to a bit of abuse on here) Then the Z32 price came down to and into the enthusiasts market and all is friendly( I still look like a bit of shite though) This will happen with the Z33 but hell there are a lot of them about

Not far out on those prices generally You can get basket case non runners for less but whether they are in a sate to be restored is another matter And the restoration costs are like a bank overdraft once you start all depends on how bad and how far you want to go Even if you do all the work your self work out what you want to spend on it and then have another half of that amount sitting in your bank account because you will find you will need it once you start And then the big issue is the time scale of doing it most of the guys who do it themselves spend on average at least 18 months doing it My advice if you are lucky enough to see one you want pop over to the other side post up asking if one of the knowledgeable ones would come with you and help you look at all the nasty quirky little (or not so little) Places that would make it a compete waste of money I am sure SlickPete will put it all better into words than me

When we started Zedfest about four years ago we decided to hold it in early September as JAE has always been held towards the end of July The reason we did this was to allow a decent gap between the two events We had booked the venue For the early part of Sept as per usual early in the year again so it would not be to near the JAE Date To give people a chance to spread out expenses Low and Behold JAE had to change their date due to a big fall out with the East Of England Show Ground and moved the Jae Date onwards by Four Weeks To me it was perfect if it had all gone on as planned with Z008 in May, JAE in July and Zedfest in September that was two months between each event. But for me The moving of JAE is the thing that has screwed the whole thing up and for only the second time in all the years since the 1994 launch of JAE I doubt if I will be going as I cant afford to give grounds for divorce by being away for two weekends so soon to each other

Reckon I hold the record on that 7times in the last 30 months

Model Z/ZXs have over a thousand of them but stopped collecting about 7 years ago as run out of space to display them and more and more were coming on the market with the launch of the Z33
