I tend to agree with MrP here. Crimped connectors, done properly, are much better mechanically. Solder won't fair well over continuous extreme heat cycles, like in an engine bay.

I hate speed bumps! What's the soddin' point?! The real people that ought to slow the f*ck down are those mums getting their 17 kids to school in their huge 4be4s... and those things don't even touch the bumps! I've had a sh*t day. I'm gonna stop moaning. I can normally find a way around speed bumps, or take them at enough angle that they're not a problem. Didn't mean it as a major diss... but that wheel to arch gap is probably gonna eat away at you. Still, ya mota's looking good :)

Don't s'pose John wants to do mine at the same time, does he? I wanna try the headlamp wash button as the scramble boost (don't have washers any more). If you haven't read the tt-net installation instructions, they're worth a read... they're on US cars so it's a bit mirror image. They also recommend buying a bit more vacuum hose and some better cable-ties. They reckon you should use the self-learn to set it up, but from what I've heard, it's a PITA.

If I was gonna make one tho, I'd be honest about it: Here's a way to make you think you're gonna make some money... 1. Find a bunch of people as gullable as you. 2. Give me your money. 3. Get them to give me their money, but don't forget to tell them about this amazingly crap money making scam I'm trying to pull off. 4. I "sell" you a crap email telling you all about how much money has changed hands, how I've been receiving it all, and how I've got more than you, and you're stupid and gullable. 5. Here's a bag of peanuts for you. But don't eat them all at once - you have to give one each to your gullable contacts. 6. If you run out of peanuts, you can buy them from me for 50 quid a bag. This isn't essential to the business - it's a marketting ploy - but you'll drag more gullable people in if they think they're getting a free gift. And that means more money for me. So really, you should buy more or you won't be fulfilling your earning potential.

Well, for the sake of not having to answer everyone... everyone was right! :D I found that pic last night and thought: euch!.. something's seriously wrong! So, you guys established it's a US SWB (so the filler's in the right place)... and the wheels are chromed... which is just plain wrong, but on the right way round I think. I hadn't noticed the back brakes - good one. It's the f'kin *tyres*! I know americans love NASCAR an'all, but FFS these things look HEEEEYOOOOGE! The fronts look too big, but the backs look like they're even bigger rolling radius... which must make them /way/ too big. It's maybe what's adding to the jacked-up look at the back (or maybe it's the pic angle)... or... maybe the guy /had/ to jack the back up to get those soddin' great blimps on it?! Or maybe it just looks wrong to me cos I've got used to 18's?

I seem to be driving a Mondeo lately. Damn, I miss the Sierra :rolleyes: Since owning my 300 I've never had so many other cars! I got given a Volvo 740 Turbo estate (with no turbo) for a while. I even drove Pete's (@SE) 4wd thing... /and/ it was only running on 5. Then there was the missusesses 1.1 Fiesta... don't make me go there.

You're a terrible, terrible person ;) I hate flashing people up, but sometimes it's necessary. Obviously, it's better to do it earlier than later... and definitely better than sitting on the guys ass expecting him to move over - doing that makes some people stay in the same lane on principle. I think the best thing to do is come up on the guy at the speed limit and if it looks like he hasn't seen you give him a quick flash without slowing down. As you get nearer, they'll normally move over... it's not like you're driving a mondeo or somink, so you shouldn't get: I'm not moving over cos I've got a faster car than him. A tricky one to judge sometimes, especially with grumpy old fart drivers. Just smile and wave... too much road-rage around already.
