Good answer Steve! Personally... I bought a 300ZX because of it's potential. It's pretty good in standard form, but it's getting proper good now. I don't see the point of comparing standard cars to other standard cars. If you had a GTO you'd wanna leave it alone, wouldn't you?! Where are you gonna go with it? If you want 4wd/4ws and help with your driving, it's got to be the Skyline every time. You could take a GTO and throw a load of weight away, and perhaps up the power, but trying to make it more like a Skyline doesn't make it a Skyline. Some people like GTO looks (not me)... OK, they do stand out from the crowd, but the 300 still looks better (sleaker, meaner, faster ;) ). Biased of course. I'm undecided about Supras. I like them, just not sure how much.

That's all you have to do to disguise yourself?! Must be what I've been doing wrong. I'll remember that next time I go out stalking... change shirt and take off watch. :D Or was Cerina the one in diguise?! If so, I'd like to say it's /way/ better than yours.

I had a great Saturday afternoon, but I just wish my soddin' car could've been there! Time seemed to fly by way too fast... hardly anyone got one of my super-chilled beers (the last one still caked in ice) - 20 of them got sunk a bit too fast. I didn't match up anywhere near as many cars to faces unfortunately. I missed the flippin' fireworks - blaggin a lift from Pete (SE) seemed like a good idea at the time (and wasn't that bad an idea ultimately). Still... good to meet up with those few people I know, and have a semi-drunken chat with some others. Hope I didn't make too much of a nob of myself! Macca - lovely looking engine bay ;) Everyone else, some top looking motors... and a good collection in one place.

I shat meself this morning (yeah, literally) thinking it was Friday - I'm supposed to be picking up my girlie Friday morning and didn't wake up til 12 today. Not as bad as the shat in my bed from Tuesday morning (I think - can't remember what day's what now) when I had a dream I'd been made redundant. Wednesday morning I was OK because I had a meeting early so didn't bother going to bed the night before... which is supposed to send you mad eventually anyway. But that's nothing compared to the 7 days / nights I stayed awake starting / finishing a year long project. What's my point? You didn't have one, so why should I?

Anyone know if there's a real term for this? I've been wondering about it for a while. I mean, a car with an enormous peak bhp in one place, but no power anywhere else could be a total PITA to drive... means getting the revs up around the peak and trying to keep them there. But something with less peak bhp and lots of "area-under" will ultimately be faster, surely... it'll pull away quicker and keep pulling regardless of the rpm. More forgiving too - useable power (almost) everywhere.

Knew it. I actually quite like Supras, but I dunno if I'd have one after owning a 300 because they're kinda too much the same. Still, what I meant to say was: nice one Geoff... I think it'll be interesting to swap between them and see which on you end up feeling most comfortable in. Are both your cars gonna make it to Billing?
