  2. If I was you I would change the cambelt aswell? by removing the rad and everything thats in the way fan etc then it saves you stripping it all out again! I have just had a full service done on mine costing £350 and that was pretty much everything done including water pump as they dont seem to last long, luckily mine was cheap as my mates a mechanic and still took him a couple of days to do it all!

Manual would be great! cant afford it though! forgot to mention that when cold I pretty much get 1st and 2nd maybe 3rd but when engine warms up I have to boot it for it to shift into 4th after that its fine unless you boot it from a low gear then it goes 1-2-4-3-4 right pain in the arse. took zed 200miles other day when I went rally driving not in the zed but a focus a bit girly for me!! she drove ok apart from a slight flat spot?

  6. Ive got a powerflow cat back system not loud but sounds real deep especially when changing gear..
  7. I read that it was 5litres ive gone to 4.20 needs at least half a litre or so extra?
  8. Im hoping its something electrical?? the oil was darkish brown may not of been changed for years?? The previa pic was me clicking on the wrong link! but if you go down page abit theres more of the right thing!!
  9. I put about 4.20litres of dextron III still needs half a litre but I ran out! but the gears have always been like that?? as you say reading the dipstick is a nightmare!!
  10. topped up took her for a spin but no change with gears still 1-2-4-3-4 but atleast I know that the box is ok??? diagnostic test doesent work on mine? so if anyone has any idea as to why it doesent change gear properly I would love to know?!!!!!
  11. mine was nothing like that! spotless which was a suprise! going to top her up and take it for a spin!

  13. Mine jumps gears 1-2-4-3-4 when you boot it and a dosgy reverse. disconnected batt aswell to reset ecu.
  14. Kind of hopeing the strainers blocked to? might get there at some point today its a bit slow to drain!!

  19. At the mo I have about 8 bolts out and its draining slowly and making a nice mess! doesent look a very nice colour either? prob why my box is shot? just hope an oil change will sort it??? but I doubt it?

  21. Hello all! just jacked my 91 uk tt up to drain auto box oil out but there is no drain plug? how do I drain oil out? Im looking at this page http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/autoTrannyOilChange/autoTrannyOilChange.html which says the turbo has drain plug but mine hasent?? can anyone help?? Cheers!!!
  22. could be many reasons mate? are your tyres balanced correctly? you can get nasty vibrations at certain speeds by not having tyres balanced???
  23. In my tt I do about 100 miles ish on £25 of shell fuel, steady and hard driving, not alot really! but mine drinks more on motorways less on A roads.. But at around 150 mph she tends to drink a bit more!!!!
