I dont know if you can buy a single lifter? you probably could replace one if you knew which lifter it was? and you do have 24 to choose from! I think the amount of work involved you best change them all, doubt it would cost much less changing one. The price I was given for 24 was £250 and the rest in labour, but I do know they go for less if you look for them...

Nissan charge £2500 just in labour for lifters and they seem to think its an engine out job? duno what planet there from??? so £700 is a BARGAIN!!!!

I have a price to replace 24 lifters at http://www.swz.performance.co.uk for £700 but if you go for the full service including belts they charge £400 but add the lifters they will knock off £200 as there half way there with changing the cam belt so both together would cost £900 which is cheap as a sevice at nissan is over £1000. I have the same problem I have changed oil used lifter treatment and no luck its been doing it now for 7 months and its time to get them replaced! at least it wont damage your engine!!

Thats how I done it!! but its hard to get a true reading while its running? but it was atleast an inch above hot level...

Hello all, I recently checked my auto gear oil which was over filled I have just drained some off so its at its correct level, Iv been having probs before with gear changes 1-2-4-3-4 when driving hard the oil is very brownish colour obviously in need of a change, because of this would the gear changes be due to overfilled/dirty oil? theres no bits inside the oil which is good! and how much gear oil do these zeds take? on a uk tt that is!! Hello all, Can anyone tell me if there is a test to check if the air con needs re-gasing apart from switching it on! I used mine about a month ago and was cold but I used it the other day and now its hot, I am wondering if theres a fault or not?? When it comes to using the air con (as i dont have a manual) to switch it on I presume you press auto then set temp to 10c and then should come on same as the heating?, I know this sound stupid and thick but I do wonder if I am doing it right!! :wack: Cheers all!!! :cool:

I also have a noisy lifter and have done for 6 months I have tryed hydraulic lifter treatment but doesent work, every time I fire it up theres the tap tap tap and I need to drive it for a mile before it stops but I have been told its very unlikly to damage the engine but would be worth replacing as I bought a 3 litre not a sowing machine! If anyone out there knows how much to replace 1 or 24 of them I would love to know!

Something I shall do at a later date then! when I can afford the respray! I do have a huge carbon fiber boot spoiler for the zed but its bloody big!

just looked at your pic and I think it would need to be resprayed?? but makes them look real nice!

would the boot lid need a respray afterwards?

Hello! I was just looking at a zed with no boot spoiler and I liked the look of it! Z32 that is! whats the best way to take one off? just had a quick look at mine and to me it looks like its stuck down with black sticky stuff! surely theres some screws somewhere? Cheers anyway!!
