  1. Hello mate im going to be dense now!! where do I find these lovely 3 connectors?? the throttle bodies were cleaned about 3000 miles ago when I had the cambelt done. cheers for your reply!!
  2. Hello, Been having this problem for a while now and its getting worse doesent matter if its warm or cold engine but runs better when warm... Just! on tick over the engine revs are up and down and then goes back to normal for a while then same again I could rest foot on gas at 2000rpm and when the lumpiness comes back the revs drop back under 1000rpm even though my foots in same place, when you drive it its fine for a short while between lumpiness and sometimes you can hear some det going on under bonnet. I have replaced the connectors on temp sensor but makes no difference. Anyone got an idea to what it is?? heres a vid of the rev counter,
  3. Replaced wires on temp sensor if its called that? the yellow plug! it made a difference revs stopped jumping around and drove ok but when I used it to take kids to school this morn it stalled after start up and the revs were up and down again but not as bad? when driving its like a flat spot with loads of boost and little power till you plant your for on the gas and it shoots off, So could this be the maf sensor or something else??? must borrow volt meter to check? but could it be something else???
  4. Excellent mate cheers! will give that a bash in the week!
  5. how do I set the maf sensor up? I know you use a volt meter? but thats it!
  6. No access to a consult, I havent noticed any strange hissing noises from under the bonnet?
  7. Hello all been having this problem with the zeds idle, on tick over the revs are up and down like a lumpy cam nearly stalling doesent jump up past 1000rpm. But when you stick it in drive I accelerate normally and the engine holds back so give it more gas but still the same? then the turbos start doing all the work, It gets worse if engines cold then its a nightmare! smells of fuel too! I know the yellow connector on the metal water pipe, the wires are a blueish colour so need to chop them and rewire, could this be the main problem for idle? or maybe MAF sensor?? cheers in advance!
  8. Hello mate If all fails I have a spare Hicas power cylinder I could sell you? Seems a little strange that it failed on that if its been replaced last year? Could be the cylinder itself??
  9. Sleep in your car with a baseball bat and when you hear them trying to clamp you jump out and give them a beating!!
  10. Hopefully we will be ok?? untill the next budget?? F*** you Gordan Brown I would like to see a gun to your head!!!
  11. I have heard that but also heard that car built after 1973 will get hit hard?? but then thats one of many stories!!
  12. Hello, Been wondering whats going on with this robbing new car tax?? anyone know what a standard TT pumps out the back end?? and are we going to get hit with stupid car tax bills?? I have heard allsorts of prices and have no idea what we will be paying?? Any advice will be great?
  13. Buy yourself a metallic Grey T-Cut that will get rid of the scratches! will take you about 4 hours by hand though! and dont do it in the sun you will never get it off! Probably best T-Cut 18inch square at a time??
  14. Im getting the same problem!
  15. Hello mate try the diagnostic test again and when the HICAS dash light flashes count the flashes between the pause go to this site for more info http://www.ttzd.com/tech/hicastech.html This might tell you the reason for your problem?? I think the HICAS and main steering are both connected and I should imagine the PAS fluid is whats leaking? Not being a mechanic so not sure on wheel wobble and not sure if the pressure has any effect? Im sure someone will help in time? If you find that the HICAS power cylinder is screwed I have a spare one which I could sell you if needed??
  16. Couldent agree more mate! The people of this country are a bunch of faggots who are to scared to do anything but do as there told, you dont see the Frogs doing that.. Mr Brown has no idea what its like to struggle through life having fu*kall to show for it. Tax, tax, tax and more tax why dont they keep are wages and give us rice n beans!!
  17. I hope they wasent watching you when you were making love to your zed lol!!! :nelson: :headvswal
  18. Not sure on price of decats? but you could try a search on ebay they have some on there? The cats are connected to the outlet manifolds. Turbos are connected to your induction kit and something else!!
  19. Yes! but wouldent the size of engine cheer Mr Brown and his tree huggers right up!! So if everyone sells there zed :headvswal buy an American muscle car and the next meet will be at 10 Downing Street!! for burnouts, doughnuts and Co2 tests at high revs!!
  20. I think its disgusting the way the Labour party are treating people like us, The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Tax, tax, tax thats all I hear about, tax isent the solution to solving problems maybe talking to people like us and listening to what real people want?? As for the new colour coded tax discs they are a joke im tempted to sell my pride and joy and go for an American guzzler V8 around 6.6 litre 1972 just to skip the new tax band and Gordan Brown can shove the extra Co2 that comes out of it right up his ar*e!! AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! that feels better to get that off my chest!!
  21. I had my rear brake pipes done for mot last year and with the mot it all cost £100. He dident drop the axle but I cant remember how he done it? apart from sawing off the brake pipe as close as he could to where the pipe meets the screw in thread, then used a spanner/ratchet to remove nut.
  22. Best go to Nissan I think the studs are about £4 each and nuts are about £1.50 each you will need to tell them if there for the front or rear as there different sizes. The way I changed mine was to bang old ones out with hammer then push new back through but to get them where they should sit is difficult I done this by using a ring spanner over stud that sticks out of hub put nut on and tighten bolt letting it dig into spanner and slowly stud will sit in perfect, best buy or use old nut for that as it wont be much good after!
  23. Was browsing around and found this! http://uk.wrs.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geunGttqNHp0wBF5VLBQx./SIG=142pgfjfi/EXP=1201997869/**http%3A//photobucket.com/albums/o289/love12dams/%3Faction=view%26current=Nissan-300zx-commercialtwinturboski.flv
  24. 30 yrs old had my TT for 15mnths love to drive sideways! longest car I have ever owned and the most fun! could do with an extra 300 horses!! only prob is no one wants a burn up unless its a scooby or V8 lexus... cant seem to beat the lexus! but the scoobys are just sh*te!!
  25. I have had exactly the same prob in my auto TT more than once! not sure why? only does it on long journeys sometimes and usually raining! all I do is pull over switch engine off then fire it strait back up.. Light gone, steering fine! job done!
