I have just tried to adjust tps but im getting a reading of 8.12v and cant seem to get it lower either its fooked or theres something wrong with the part that makes a buzzing noise??

So thats not such a strange reading then? and an adjustment will sort it? I will have a go with volt meter at some point any ideas to the strange humming noise? I am happy for many more comments!! really need to sort this and got to MOT the zed next month!

Hello! I posted about this yesterday but dident get much response so I shall explain it a bit better and hope someone can answer this for me??? my car has been running lumpy for ages now when cold and I go for a drive I have to keep blipping the throttle to get any speed as it seems to hold back alot but when warm it seems to be alot better but at 2000rpm I can feel a splutter every so often. I have just checked TPS with volt meter I have ignition on and put the prong on the center green wire and the reading is 11.82v and when I put it on full throttle I get 9.44v and it should be between 0.5 - 0.45v which it aint! it goes down on full throttle? I also get a humming noise from back of engine and that fades out after half throttle. With such a strange reading is the TPS fooked? or can I adjust it? just seems strange that on full throttle the volts drop? And should there be a humming noise from back of engine? Hope someone can help me out, this is doing my head right in! was supposed to take it to SWZ but im seriously skint so if I can do it myself I will. Might be good to mention my passenger side manifold is blowing or somewhere around there could this cause problems??

Not sure which one to use! theres 2 with a V which is obviously volts one with a squiggle next to it and one with a strait line and three small strait lines underneath theres another 4 settings but non with a V? kind of wondering what the power station noise is!

Hello all! just a quick one, Just tried to check TPS with volt meter and I must be doing something wrong? because the volt are all over the place 11.3 and when pedal is on full it drops to 9.5 dont think thats right some how?? but when I press pedal, no fully down theres a noise coming from bottom of engine it sounds like overhead power cables then on full throttle it fades out,its on passenger side somewhere near the bottom of engine? any ideas what thats about???

Mine does the same in reverse sometimes, but does it more when cold the box is fine just the weird reverse thing?! No idea why it does it, its been doing it for two years and hasent got any worse. Hope someone has an answer to this one???

Same here mate, think we have about 15 kids and 15 adults and im the one who has to cook on the bbq :mad: using two of the bloody things! I did buy 60 bottles of stella so that should keep me going... for an hour!!

Just checked it and it seems fine? theres one on the other side and thats what was leaking last time a year ago..

Hello Paul! Probably looks like the best idea!! cant do today as its my daughters 1st birthday or tomorrow as its her party! I could probably do sometime next week?

The throttle bodies were cleaned end of last year when cambelt was done but I done them again couple days ago just incase! Not sure what the regulator looks like but there was a small leak last year right at the back of plenum which I have checked again but no leaks? will go round and tighten all fuel pipes just incase but cant see there will be any change??

Hello all! my TT has been running like a bag of nails for a while now I have checked everything I can but all fine, ran ECU test and Im sure a different code came up first? like 34 or 43?? but then code 55 and stayed code 55 after that! the idle is lumpy going up and down from 400-900rpm sometimes cuts out, I can smell fuel at times but no fuel leaks. I cleaned every connector I could see with most of them with blue corrosion on but no change so I took connector off TPS which was dirty so cleaned it up and now im sure the zed runs worse, even more lumpy? So could this be a dodgy TPS?? Can it be adjusted?? I dont want to pay for a consult if I can help it but I have checked everything. If anyone can help that would be great!!

yeah iv been round there a few times for parts very handy to have near by! we dont get enough zed garages! if I cant sort the problem then a consult down swz if need be( if he does them? ) anyone have an idea at what the cost of a consult is??

I done one ages ago now when it was doing it very little, strangely enough I was thinking of doing that today! but with 3 kids just doing that simple job takes ages im forever getting hassle off them!!! now there in bed the wife has taken it to do her night shift, her motor got broken into last week so just sat there at mo! Think it could be wise to do the ECU test?

That was the second one I checked even though the connectors were very brittle the male/female connectors inside were like new.. But still the zed shifts! and had a little test when I had a run in with a Honda integra GTR V plate about 30 mins ago up Cheddar Gorge (very nice and dangerous road! rolled a car up there once!!) but it was no match for the zed put it that way!!!

Excellent mate will try that, I have checked all the other connectors and it makes no difference so fingers crossed its the one your talking about???
