Hello, Can anyone tell me how to remove the panel around the head unit? I have taken out four screws but its jammed in there near the digital clock I would give it a good tug but I dont want to break it!! lol!

I have just checked oil properly and found that its very low only just touching the dipstick going to top her up later and hope the probs are sorted!!

I shall give it a go in the week and hopefully will sort the problem out?? Thanks for all your help!!

Thanks for that boys!! I just hope the box has a bit of dirt inside and changing the gear oil sorts it out?? If not how much and where can I get a cheap used box??

Hello!, My auto gearbox has a problem it seem to seize up in a way? when I reverse, not sure whats going on might be on its way out but first I am going to change the gear oil if anyone can help on what auto gear oil to use and how I would go about changing it? and where do I drain and fill up again? I wont be able to answer until late tonight when I finish work... Its an 1991 uk spec TT Auto. Thanks for your time I shall read answers tonight...

Hello can anyone help?? My auto box in my 91 twin turbo seems to click into slow mode? usually does this when cold if I select reverse and drive back the cars fine then sometimes the box makes a click then the car seems to struggle as if im going uphill this doesent last long but I am wondering if this is the start of something serious? the oil level is fine if anyone could help that would be great. Cheers... also does anyone know where I can download a free owners manual I havent sussed out how to use all the buttons in car! cheers again!!

Iv just been out to car and yes the strap is loose! spose thats a good thing and may well sort some probs out, I usuall check these things! also it does have a k&n induction kit and it was raining pretty much all the time I was driving.

Think I was being a bit dumb then! I take it the switch is on doors and boot you also said what it will sort out!! No sleep yet been ghost hunting last night!!

Yesturday I took my zed tt on a 300 mile round trip and found out it seems to have an electrical problem around 80+ mph the door light on the dash flickers and so does the interior light at the same time I can hear a clicking of a relay on the pasenger side rear also the hicas light came on which made the steering heavy which now works after switching engine off and on again, the millage counter stopped working but thats not just it on the way back the engine started to splutter not much but enough to wind me up! that went after a mile and came back later then went again and now my clifford alarm has stopped chirping to but still works with out the siren but that also comes back to life when it feels like it. Can anyone give me any ideas as to sort these problems out? You may want to ask me questions about the above so I will try and answer them asap but I am in the middle of saving my stuff to hard drive and wipeing my pc which is going to take forever! Cheers anyway peeps!! :confused:

Iv only had the car 4 days! it dident get used much and has been parked up for 2 months but going to take it for a good 200 mile round trip friday so im glad its stopped tapping for now!

I dont do alot of driving not as much as I would like! I try to go out as much as I can but with a wife and two kids I just cant go out for a cruize when I want so basically I drive to work 16 miles when im on shift and the school run which is about 8 miles a day a little driving in between! I dident relise the lights were that crap, slow me down for now I suppose? I like to be a bit, right foot heavy!!!

Well people I have just taken car out for an 11mile drive up and over cheddar gorge which was fun in the wet and three miles into the jurney the noise stoped even when I kept booting it! so im feeling a bit better at the mo! hopefully this wont happen again but you never know! A big thanks to all the peeps who helped me through this! especially andy duff who knows his stuff! going to ask now about headlights mine are crap should the dip beam be the round spot lights and main beem on the longer lights Im wondering if this is the wrong way around?? Cheers again!!

Hello mate, Its a tapping sound from top of engine its not deap and it runs along one of the cams but it is loud the oil level is spot on as I have just changed oil and filter. It makes the noise when cold or hot but it has dissapered a couple of times until you boot it or fire it up in morning.

does any one know if you can change 1 lifter and how much it would cost? and is there anyone who could look at it or fix it cheap I am in cheddar somerset. Cheers.

Sorry mate forgot to add that the oil pressure when warm is about 40-50 psi or a quater of the dial.

Thanks for that mate, I shall go for a drive first and see if the noise will go? I have just flushed engine out with wynns engine flush and also added wynns hydraulic valve lifter treatment but made no diffrence.
