5th Gear tonight...Bugatti Veyron..
got to agree that TG has started to loose it in the last couple of series because it has turned into boys messing about and not about cars at all. It can occasionally be funny like the Caravan tour one and the tractors sowing a field but i wish it featured more about cars. The star in the reasonable price car is also getting a bit old now but the races between car and other transport are always good. What would be good in these progs would be if they re-reviewed cars as people rarely buy new cars and they could see how it is stood the test of time and how it compares to modern competitors. Dare i say it they could review a zed! I know it has sort of been done before on the TG Classics show and Used Car Roadshow but i think these shows tend to miss the point a bit.

Went through 4 counties and not even spotted, lol
Hi mate, There are details in the Membership and Club Enquires section. These are them: Misc club payment methods -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From time to time you may need to send money to the club. The methods of payment are similar to those of subscription payments, but these could be for items such as charity collections, club merchandise etc Direct Bank Transfer SORT CODE : 30-96-97 ACCOUNT : 02506459 ACCOUNT NAME : 300ZX.CO.UK CLUB Please try to use an intelligble reference, even if it's only your username - that way at least I can track down who sent us the money, then I can work out what it's for ! Note: Transfers from LloydsTSB accounts are usually same day, other banks etc may take up to 5 working days. Oddly, LloydsTSB business accounts seem to take more than one day ?!? Paypal Use our paypal email address paypal AT 300zx.co.uk - replace the AT with an @ - as per usual email address Cheque, bank draft etc Make it payable to 300ZX.CO.UK Club and post to :- 300zx.co.uk Club PO Box 8837 Dunmow CM6 1ZY Please include your forum name with any payment you make - it makes it a lot easier for me to work out where the money has come from. Thanks! The world is not perfect :- Please bear in mind that whilst PayPal is convenient we lose 4% to their charges. Bank transfers are free, but a take a few days and I have to remember to check the account. To pay in cheques your poor treasurer has to fill in the paper work, drive to town, pay to park, walk to the bank (probably in the rain), drive home etc.

5th Gear tonight...Bugatti Veyron..
good point danny, 5th gear is garbage and it should stop trying to copy top gear with everything. That ugly posh bird VBH is annoying but i have always liked Tom Ford. The new guy is quite funny but thinks he is a bit too great and Tiff has fallen into the trap that so many TV personalities have in that he is started playing up to his own stereotyped persona. VBH just makes orgasmic squeals to pull in the male punters and hopes people dont realise she doesnt have any media talent and a face that looks like a cake that was left was left in the oven too long. She annoys me greatly. Anyway, the Veyron stuff was pretty impressive. We all knew it was going to be. wouldnt really call it "the greatest thing seen on tv". What i loved about that show was how unbelievably amazing that massa GT looks!

Off to get my baffle cut out!!
experiencing any power increases? I would of thought you could squeeze out a couple more horseys by removing the restrictions in the exhaust, particulary in a turbo car.

Should these connectors be connected?
can you run them connected if you have a boost controller to give you the safety boost safteynet or is it incompatible or other issues when you have a boost controller.

Turning out of Bloemfontain Road onto Uxbridge Rd or could have been one of the other side streets on the left down looking towards the green. This was at about 2pm on a match day! You must be mad trying to drive round the bush then! I saw you from the Adelaide where i was having a few drinks before our glorious 3-0 away win!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-POP-OUT-BLANK-KEY-FITS-1984-1996_W0QQitemZ300146700713QQihZ020QQcategoryZ10424QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Anyone tried one of these yet? only £15 its gotta be worth it for the giggle. How does it pop out? Does it flip round or fire out like a flick knife? The picture quality on the add is poor but from the last picture it looks like it might look a bit tacky.

Xbox 360 60hz
yeah thats the way to do it. didnt seem to work when i did it but seems to always be in PAL-60 anyway. But my component is a cheap one of ebay, switch may not work but the image is brilliant.

Xbox 360 60hz
you can force it into 60hz mode. There is a guide in this FAQ. depends on TV and connector but should be fine. http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=236980 2.7 How do I play games requiring a 60Hz display? Some games, regardless of whether they were bought at retail, downloaded from the Marketplace, downloaded from Xbox Live Arcade and no matter whether they were originally intended for US/Japanese systems will only run on a console set to output a 60Hz signal. Retail games will have a label on them stating a 60Hz display is required to play. In order to make sure 60Hz is enabled on your 360, follow these steps: RGB SCART/Composite/S-Video connections: In the Xbox Dashboard, select System blade. Select Console Settings, and then press the A button. Select Display, and then press the A button. Select PAL settings, and then press the A button. Select PAL-60, and then press the A button. When you are prompted to keep these new settings, confirm the settings, and then press the A button. Component/VGA connections: If you are not using the composite or component/composite lead shipped with 360, the RGB SCART lead or an s-video lead, connect it now. If you are not using one of these leads, the PAL settings option will not be displayed in system options. If you are using a VGA lead, you will need to connect using one of the other options which would allow you to connect to a PAL TV. If you are using the composite/component lead bundled with the "premium" system, you need to ensure it is set to TV mode. Slide the switch on the connector which plugs into the back of the Xbox 360 to "TV" mode if it's set to "HDTV" mode. Once the correct lead is in place and the switch is set to "TV" mode (if using the component/composite lead), follow the 6 steps given above. After changing the PAL-60 setting, you can reconnect using your preferred cable (setting the component/composite lead back to "HDTV" if compatible with your display) then you can forget this setting and enjoy your games!

Coolant temp sensor thread size??...
well i cant tell you what size it is but I know it is bigger than M16 as i tried to replace the temp gauge sensor with an aftermarket one which was M16 but when i removed the gauge sensor the hole was bigger than the M16 tap i borrowed to tap the aftermarket sensor in. Dont know about the ECU one but i certainly wouldnt have said it would be smaller than the gauge one.

No Power To Boost Solenoids...Advice??
that sounds a very resonable price. Will a packet of peanuts buy me a bit of advice if my readings are off? Any evenning this week is fine for me apart from tonight cos my mate is bringing his new alfa round to show me!

Fan belt squeel
sorry to resurrect an old thread but i was doing a search as i sometimes have a bit of fan belt squeak on start up. The page from the manual shows how to do the adjustments to the pulleys but which one is for the fan slipping. I am pretty sure it is the fan belt and not the clutch bearing or the oil pump bearing because i can hear and have seen the viscous fan speeding up after the squeal stops. How exactly to i make the adjustment? Tempted by the quick fixes i have seen ("stop squeak" - which i cant find for sale anywhere, WD40, talcum powder) because i am worried about waking the neighbours when i leave in the morning but some people seem to say they make the problem worse!

brake pipe - URGENT HELP NEEDED!
thanks for the tips guys. I dont think i would of ever tried to stick the broken one back together i was just looking at all the possible options. Anyway, got a new one made up today by my local friendly garage. They let me go in and do it myself. bunged the guy a fiver and it is all sorted!! Crisis adverted. Anyway now i have a question about brake fluid. What fluid do our cars take. I have got half a bottle of Castrol Super Dot 4 in the garage and went out to buy another bottle so i could completely bleed the system but no one seems to sell it. Even halfords where i bought the stuff before didnt do it and a guy in a indie motor factors said i would have trouble finding the castrol stuff now. All the ones i have seen are brandless ones and only Dot 4 or 5.1, no super dot 4. Can anyone recommend where i can find the castrol stuff or which new one to go for??

brake pipe - URGENT HELP NEEDED!
yeah it is a bit of a reality check that gluing them together is a big no no! that is what annoyance and desperation makes you think! thanks very much for the offer manta, you're a true gent! it is a long way and hopefully i can get it sorted closer to home rather than spending the whole of my bank hol on the roads. If i can find a motor factors or pumbling shop that is open tomorrow i will buy a kit but i am hoping someone will come to my aid and have a kit closer to me.

brake pipe - URGENT HELP NEEDED!
the crack in my brake pipe that was weeping fluid has got worse when i was trying to repair it and actually sheared apart when i was trying to remove it. Went to nissan to order a replacement and it was suprisingly cheap at 8 quid but the problem was that is was in Japan and wouldnt get to me until mid sept! He suggested going to the service dept and asking them to make me one up which they did but phoned me a day later telling me they had done but it was going to cost me £79! i argued this a bit but they wouldnt shift so i picked up my old one and tried to seal the hole myself with epoxy leak fix from halfords. I thought i sealed it when i blew it hard under water and there was not the fine stream of bubbles like there was before. Put it on and the drip was still there! tried adding the paste to seal up the whole but the fluid got through. was going to try and doing it again when it was dry but it sheared off when trying to remove it. Soz about the long message! Anyway I need a new brake pipe this weekend preferably. The way i see it i have got a few options. - try and bargain Nissan down on the one they made me or even bite the bullet and pay the 80 notes just so i have it. - Could i glue the 2 parts of the pipe back with something and seal it up. If so with what because brake fluid seemed to be very resistant to the epoxy i put on it. I will also order the replacement part so it would only be a stop gap measure. If this is not going to be dangerous (glue/weld stronger than the metal itself) i would be ok to do this. - Go to a non-dealer garage and ask me to make one up for a resonable cost, but it is bank hol now and i dont know what will be open and prepared to do it. Would a kwik fit do that? - A suggested on the previous thread i had on this leak i could buy or borrow a flaring kit and some copper tube and make one up myself, but where can i buy this from on a sat or does anyone have the kit close to the bournemouth or london area although i am prepared to travel further afield to get it! - a kind soul on here to make me one with the flaring kit and i come and pick it up. - buy one from MJP or SWZ or something and pick it up this weekend?!? it is the passenger side one. Really need help and i am obviously stuffed without it!!
