  3. Really sorry to hear about whats happened mate, cant begin to imagine what you and the family must feel right now, although its hard, try to be strong
  4. Cant believe its 10 years ago !
  5. Not so straight forward to take out and rebond, im in the glass business so i know. Also trims can be a nightmare to remove in a reusable condition. Do like Funky says and ring round a couple of local glass companys to get prices
  6. L-QL is Left Quarter Light R-QL is Right Quarter Light
  7. It will make a difference in looks if they fit a blue windscreen, your side glasses are bronze and although the tint is not major, you might see the difference between the blue and bronze.
  8. Make sure they get the bronze tint ( with possibly a blue top tint ), that is the correct glass tint for a series 1 jap import.
  9. That is awesome, i had a Mk1 escort GT when i was 17, until someone stole it
  10. Hi Mark, Its more than likely film that has been applied to the rear window. if you clean it off just be careful of the heating elements, as they are very fragile. John
  11. Haha, why do you know someone whos selling one
  12. Impossible for it to delaminate because its toughened glass. What exactly is the problem with the glass ?
  13. Try jacking up that wheel and seeing if there is any play in the wheel, could be a few possibilites ie wheel bearing, something to do with hicas ( if its a tt ).
  14. Vini, ive had pioneer speakers in the past and i think the quality is pretty good, i usually buy pioneer or kenwood headunits / speakers, as for me they give a good balance of quality and price. Hope this helps John
  15. Ive got a traders policy, its not my main business but i just explained that i did work on a lot of different peoples cars and needed the cover to drive them etc. My policy costs me £628 per year, fully comp, with £5000 cover which is plenty as i never seem to own a car worth more than that ! Rather than go to one particular insurance company, it would be better to approach a local insurance agent/broker who deal with commercial policies
  16. for safetys sake alex i would drain and refill it with the proper fluid, at least then you can rule out oil problems. John
  17. Pipes in question are your AIV pipes, you can leave them disconnected or remove them.. Try this link for help http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/137858.html John
  18. Hi, just bought a n/a auto but it has problems with the gearbox not shifting from 2nd upwards. I have done the autobox diagnostics check and its bringing up 2 error codes 7) Lock-up solenoid circuit is shorted or disconnected 10) Line pressure solenoid circuit is shorted or disconnected. I have done some searches and it seems these solenoids are in the bottom of the gearbox, any idea where i get the replacements from ?
  19. I think the tubes you are taking about are the AIV's, and can either be capped off, left open ended, or totally removed. John
  20. Looks like mines been leaking for some time, due to a loose jubilee clip holding the pipe to the fluid reservoir....
  21. my new zed is making a right noise, just checked the fluid and its not even showing on the dipstick thing
  22. Fitted these pipes to my 300, very good fit and great quality Sensors are for cat overheat so you dont need them anymore
  23. i think the wires come through the floor under the front seats, dont know where they go from there though
  24. just been chasing a few leaks on mine, and it seems that the original fasteners lose their grip over the years. I just replaced them with standard jubilee clips and now all is fine :)
