  1. Looks like I need to start drinking more! I've been planning to buy most of the same items but always back out at the last second when I realize it will just about break the bank. I know this could be a sensitive subject, but why did you buy from Z1 rather than DTA? Was the savings enough to make it worth buying from the US? I want to support our traders but at the same time money talks...
  2. 5 spokes for me in black. Check this website, they have an amazing selection, some at good prices - http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/frame-detail.asp?PAGE=/home.htm
  3. A D10 from 20 meters? Bet that left a mark on the permafrost!
  4. 108.9 in Basingstoke today. £60 to fill up! :headvswal
  5. I laughed out loud several times, my favorite - "Will it be available as a ragtop?" :D :D :D
  6. madmarco replied to a post in a topic in Events - UK
This subject has come up many times before and I think every region (including South Central) has had problem with attendence at events at one time or the other. My solution has been to become a club whore, I now belong to 7 different clubs - 300zx.co.uk Zclub Hampshire Jap Car Club Banzai Dorset Japenese Car Club Jap Girls Torque Power Each of these clubs has strengths and weaknesses, but between them there is something on every week. Today - DJCC Pub Meet 18/11 - HJC Brag Run (Poker Run) 23/11 - Wozzer's Amsterdam run (still time to sign up!) 2/12 - 300zx SC Christmas meet
  7. That's good news Stella, glad to hear things are getting better. (put that dog on a lead!)
  8. I feel for you mate, lost my Mom to cancer a few years ago. Glad to hear your's is doing OK, fingers crossed that she can be treated without surgery.
  9. I can make the 1st but wont be able to stay for the 2nd. In a moment of insanity I signed up to do this - http://www.grimchallenge.co.uk/index.html
  10. Congratulations! My daughter's birthday is on Halloween, she has the best parties every year. Hope Mommy and baby are doing well.
  11. Paid 105.9 today for Optimax...
  12. Athene and all, Really sorry I missed this meet after all the trouble you went through to arrange it. It wasn't the rain that kept me away, just the boss insisting I do some DIY around the house... I promise I'll make the next one if it doesn't conflict with the Wozzer A'dam run.
  13. Funny, I just passed my (re)test today too! Only needed two front tyres, a new bulb for one of the lights over the rear plate, and front and rear reg plates with legal height characters. :nana2:
  14. Had the stock 17 year old suspension. Rolled like a SOB in hard corners (see pic). I've set the shock dampening at the halfway settings and although it's a bit stiffer the ride is not harsh at all. I've taken it through a few roundabouts at speed and it felt like it was on rails. After I install the ARB's and get the alignment right it should be perfect.
  15. OK, dropped the front as far as I could without rubbing at full lock or over sharp bumps. Hope this satisfies the "go lower" brigade! It's not Wozzer low but I'm pretty happy with how it sits. My wheels are pretty wide so I will need to do some arch rolling if I want it any lower. As for how it's done - 1. Take one set of KYB AGX shocks. 2. Add Ground Control coilovers with Eibach Springs - http://www.ground-control-store.com/products/description.php/II=64 3. Slide the threaded collar over the base of the shock, slide on the spring, install the new top spring seat (some grinding required on the stock front seat to fit the new Ground Control seat). 4. Presto! You now have quality coilovers for less than 600 quid. :hyper: 5. Adjust about half way, lock everything down, put the wheels back on, check the height. 6. Take the wheels off and lower some more. 7. Repeat until hard things start to rip the cr@p out of your tires. 8. Bring her back up two turns. Next step - Anti roll bars and adjustable arms to get the allignment right. Took her a fast drive last night to Portsdown Hill, and the improvment in handling was incredible!
  16. FFS! Alright, first thing tomorrow morning I'm ganna slam the front right down to the ground! Now leave me alone while I watch the game! :nana2:
  17. PM sent
  18. I'm not positive. They came on the car when I bought it. They have "Bozway" written on the center caps, but I have never heard of this brand. Do look nice when their cleaned up...
  19. Yes I agree, but the good thing about the Ground Control set up is I can set them at any height. After pulling all four wheels off twice and adjusting them a little lower each time, I figured I would let them settle for a few days and then do a final adjustment.
  20. Just finished installing new KYB's and Ground Control adjustable coilovers with Eibach springs. First pic is with the original suspension. May have gone a bit too low in the back, what do ya think?
  21. Just changed mine today! You dont want to undo the center bolt, that holds the spring seat to the shock shaft. Undo the two bolts on the outside of the hole and it will drop right out. If your not sure what I mean I can post a picture.
  22. The Springboks will be wearing this little number ...
  23. Spot on! Too late for me then, already well on the slippery slope!
  24. Sign me up! :nana2:
  25. I missed you baby... Looks like you had a good trip, now get back to breaking Yampie's Zed!
