  1. Now here's the bit that has me worried - Whats wrong with this picture? Engine is sitting high on the right side. Looks like the motor mount is broken - So, looking for your honest opinions and technical advice. (The first person that mentions T-Cut is a dead man!)
  2. Thanks again everyone for the kind words. You make a bad situation a little easier to take and make me glad I'm part of such a great club. Well, car arrived a couple of hours ago and I've been tearing it to pieces to inspect for damage. Looks OK on the nearside - Rear just has a few scratches, except for the exhaust which is completely twisted - Far side is a different story - Spaghetti anyone? more to come.... :headvswal
  3. Thanks for the kind words! Seemed to roll OK although the steering was very stiff so may need the steering rack. Left rear exhaust was bent back under the car although the left side looked untouched. Cant believe how quick it came around, it went from straight ahead to backwards in less than a second. All I could do was hold on and wait for the impact. Anyway I'm still walking so it could have been a lot worse.
  4. Icy road + heavy right foot = one less Z on the road... Entering the M3 at junction 6 southbound, took it easy through the roundabout and left turn onto the slip road, got on the gas just as I straightened up and next thing I know I'm heading backwards into the verge. :headvswal Cars on the way home so I can inspect the damage in detail. Just found out the wife changed the insurance coverage from full comp to liability only two months ago as she was trying to reduce the premium! I'll put up some better pictures soon, I need some honest opinions on if it's worth repairing. After all the time I've put into getting it just the way I wanted it, my heart tells me to fix it, but my head says breaking time...

  11. You didn't happen to leave a golf ball in someones car recently, did you?
  12. I'm not an expert but this question has come up before. The N/A rad is actually has better cooling than the TT rad so it would be a mistake to use a TT version.
  13. Whoa! Thanks Si, proof once again that you are the oracle of all things Zed! The wheel refirb will need to wait a bit while I get the last suspension parts bought and installed.
  14. Thanks Si, the wheels look pretty good when they're cleaned up but to be honest they are pretty poor quality. The clear coat is already peeling off in a couple of places. Not positive what make they are, they were on the car when I bought it. The center caps say "Bozway" but I've never heard of them.
  15. 19 x 10.5's on the back of mine...
  16. You know you may have a point, I have to admit I got up to fair amount of trouble when I was young. Some of it dangerous and almost all of it stupid. But I always knew if I got caught I was going to get a good as$ kicking by the victim or my dad. I think what really surprised me was that this little punk stood there in plain view watching me drive towards him. He knew I saw him and could identify him later but went ahead and did it anyway. It was clear he had no fear of being caught because the penalty was not enough to deter him. Guess thats where things have changed, we had to be a bit more clever because if we got caught it was going to hurt!
  17. Thank god for that! At least there wasn't any permanent damage. Still was really dangerous as I couldn't see a thing with the leaves covering the wind shield.
  18.   What's wrong with kids these days? Picked up my daughter from school today and while driving towards my house noticed a couple of kids standing on the side of the road next to a pile of leaves. You guessed it, just as I came up on them one kicked a huge pile into the air and smack onto my windscreen! Slammed on the brakes as I couldn't see a thing, jumped out of the car to give chase but the little sh*ts hightailed down the paths between the houses and disappeared. I was so PO'd I could barely speak! Took me 5 minutes to dig all the leaves out of the cowl and to hose it down. Feel like waiting for them tomorrow after school but would probably end up in jail, wish I was still 16. Then I could sort them out without any worries since kids can do anything they like without penalty! Funny thing is I was just telling my daughter it's not nice to call these types of kids chavs and it's not OK to stereotype people. Now I'm ready to round them all up and drown them! I mean what kind of a low life would defile a 300ZX?
  19. TNT lose a package? How suprising! I deal with these clowns every week, swear they have a built in package sensitivity meter, if it's really important it arrives on time they will f@ck it up every time! (apologies if anyone on here works for TNT)
  20. Oooohhh, is nice!
  21. Technical advice, cheap parts, meeting new people, and keeping up on the gossip. And because I've got nothin better to do...
  22. The guy who invented the speed camera (Mr. Gatso) developed it for clocking rally cars during races. He was very unhappy when they adapted it for road use.
  23. Fair enough Si, Just started drinking who knows what I'll own tomorrow morning! (or if I'll be sleeping on the couch when the boss finds out)
