I have volunteered to help organize this event for the ZClub. We currently have 34 people in 21 Z cars attending and almost everyone is doing track sessions. Personally I will be attending both Z008 at Billing and Japfest, but I understand most people may not be able to do both. I test drove a TT auto and an N/A manual before buying my N/A. I found the N/A much more fun to drive, and the reliability is a bonus. At the time it was the look of the SWB slicktop that sold me, but I have never regreted buying the N/A. I own a GSXR1000 so even a modified TT will feel slow to me. What I love about the 300ZX is it's looks and handling and you can enjoy these benifits without a 300hp (or 500hp) engine. And to be honest I have never had trouble keeping up with the TT's on the street, it's only at high speeds where the TT can strech it's legs that it will pull away. In 1st through 3rd gears you can stay right with them. At the end of the day it's your choice, and there are great examples of each available for stupidly low prices.

Hey Gaz, Just installed headers on my N/A. It's a bit of a pain to get leverage on all the bolts to loosen and tighten them but I did it. Happy to come by and give you some help.

Thanks, it's definitly great to be driving the Z again! Happy I did the work myself, if I took it to a shop I probably would have been waiting for months... Plus I fixed a lot of little things I noticed while crawling around under it. As for the console cover, they are definitly different, SWB one is just a bit shorter. I bought a leather assembly off a member here and had to modify it to fit.

Is the center armrest cover for a 2+2 or SWB?

Mine sits right at 800 with the AC off (economy setting), but rises to 1000 when I turn the AC on

I cant believe what I read! 3 years for attempted murder after being convicted previously for accesory to murder? People may not agree with the American way of doing things, but they have a little something called the three strikes law (three felonies = life sentence). That M-F would never be on the streets again and would be bleeding out of his A-hole everyday.... (unless he was he Texas where they would execute him). I hate to think what I would do if someone attacked a member of my family like that....
