  1. Not me!
  2. You can pick up a 2001/2002 GSXR1000 for that price, and in my opinion a much better bike than the 98 R1.
  3. The arch rolling has been rescheduled to April 26th due to archenemy's schedule. We now have two spots available.
  4. Looks good, and the R1 is an awesome bike. However anytime a bike has it's frame polished and fairing resprayed, alarms should be going off. This is often done to hide accident damage. Make sure you get it inspected at a dealer before handing over your cash.
  5. I have 10.5's on mine and they fit like a glove. My choice would be the Volks, they look mean on a black Zed.
  6. Anyone else up for this? We only have one spot left as only five cars can be done on one visit. Hey Chris, it's a HKS Hiper. Picked it up cheap after I destroyed my last exhaust in a wreck. It's a bit diferent as it exits at an angle, but that means you dont get the extra S bend just before the cans like most systems. With my stainless headers and decats, it's a straight path from the heads all the way to end of the cans. With the baffles out it sounds heavenly! Dont have a better pic than my sig but this is from the Z1 site -
  7. Current plan is for everyone to meet at my place in Winchester.
  8. No problem, free bump anyway!
  9. Anyone else going to make this one? :confused:
  10. We have Archenemy coming to South Central on Saturday, 12/4/08. Hampshire Jap Club has arranged a discounted price of 60 quid for rear arche rolling. If anyone else wants to join in we can get the price even lower. PM me if your interested.

  12. 1. Body Kit 2. N/A 3. Pot leaf hanging from the mirror.
  13. Agree 100% Andy! The reason behind my post was to understand why Jap Performance magazine would print that the 300zx has an image problem. Between the various well written posts in this thread I think we have the answer.
  14. I like it a lot! However, that's one Bentley that will never drive in London...
  15. :bow: R.E.S.P.E.C.T !
  16. Installed Stillen sway bars front and rear and went from this - to this - The Stillen is similar to the Whiteline but the finish is better and they are adjustable.
  17. Agree 100% that the 300zx is a very special car and I am proud to own one, and for the money nothing even comes close. Since this is a 300zx club I would expect everyone to feel the same. I also get looks wherever I go but always have to explain what it is! I guess the bigger question is how to fix this "image" problem, as when people see what the car can do they respect it and will want one. It's nice being one of the few enthusiasts in on the secret but resale prices would be better if a few more people were aware! To me the best way to fix the image is to get high powered examples out on the track (road course or quarter mile) at the big events. Problem is most of the owners of high powered examples refuse to go near the track as there afraid of damaging them! There was a thread some time ago about someone building a monster for 10 of the best, did they follow through or is it still in progress?
  18. Red car, has to be Christine. I've named mine Black Sunshine as I like the song and it seemed to fit. However when I'm working on it I frequently call it "you no good mother f@ckin SOB". Dont know why, but it always seems to help when I'm working on a stubborn bolt.
  19. Mama mia! I want one..
  20. :eek::eek::eek::eek: unbelievable!
  21. Just picked up the new Japanese Performance mag, they have a good article on a 240Z with a SR20 engine. On page 123 they list the data and ratings for the 300ZX (UK) and FairladyZ import which is pretty good (4 stars). However, this comment caught my eye and irked me a bit - "Supercar performance, fulfilling handling, ultra low prices, but an image problem." Anyone have an idea on what image problem they are refering to? I know I am frequently asked about the reliability of my car (very good, thank you very much). I also notice when I attend large meets with a good mixture of cars the 300 can be a bit overlooked, even though it is one of the best looking cars IMO. Maybe we are stuck between the supercar and luxury groups. Just looking at a Skyline, Impreza, etc... you know they are performance focused and therefore forgive the poor interior and boxy styling. Anyone in the know will tell you that there are 300zx's running around with power to rival anything else on the road, but the average Joe just doesn't seem to be aware. Japanese Performance magazine should know better as they featured the Pentroof Z not long ago...
