Genuine Consult on e-bay now.
Well it arrived today..... Looking good with leads, etc...... BUT, needs a battery pack or some way of charging the one in there to see if it works...... Trying to remember..... These can run from the power from the in car diagnostic port can't they? Anyone know of somewhere to get a battery pack and charger for a consult unit??

Motorway speed limit to be raised "official"
Why can't they cut fuel duty and make motorways toll roads with a 100 mph limit instead......... At least then we could go fast legally if we choose and afford the fuel to drive our Z's...... I agree on old people being re-tested...... my dad is a nightmare for hitting inanimate objects and then blaming them..... his cars last about 4 years from new and look like a stock car by the time he sells them...... I did a police skid pan course and that made me more aware of ice and wet conditions and to take nothing for granted..... They should make advanced driving compulsory within 3 years of passing the basic test you need to pass it, Or they make you start all over again from provisional........ Teach these 4x4 driving yuppy mums how not to stop on crossings or zigzag lines, not to put on makeup whilst driving and that a rear view mirror isn't for doing your hair...... See them every day dropping my boy's at school.......grrrrrrrrrrr Rant over.....lol

Just picked up a familiar Z

Buy it now price
I had exactly the same set Yokohama Advan split rim wheels......well 3 of these and space saver when I bought my car...... Unfortunately I left them outside my house and they were taken before I weighed them in.... I think you would be better off putting them on here if your a subscribed member...... I think a couple of people have these on here..... Might save a bit on final value fee's on ebay and paypal charges...... would pay for your subscription on here at least..... These would look good stripped and polished up.......... No idea what they are worth though...... sorry........

got my quote from zedworld
Maybe he has stock that he got cheaper and is passing on the saving while he can or as Ruishy1 said, maybe he has someone to fabricate them?? All I know is I would trust Jeff & Lynda to do a spot on job and they have been doing this long enough to know how much things cost...... If I had the money I would have got Jeff to do mine if I couldn't have learned to weld quickly enough....... Thanks to forum members help.....lol Nice one John...... Another saved Z...... Good luck with the project.... Russ

Hi, just found I forgot to fit these and now cannot find the old ones..... Anyone know if they are just standard 2.5' 3 bolt ones? I need to get some tomorrow...... And was going to pop down to local motor factors and don't want to have to jack up car and remove decat pipe for a template.... Cheers.... Russ

Home cinema projector
I was told to avoid white and use aluminium/silver colour as white causes luminance problems??? Then again I was speaking with guy's in the US who take this very seriously......lol

Home cinema projector
I looked into projectors and decided against them due to daylight causing picture problems...... I ended up getting a 42 inch Samsung smart TV instead with 3D upscaling....... I can watch anything in 3D from the built in freest HD.... Best place to find out reviews and advice is the AV forum.....http://www.avforums.com/forums/projectors/

Squealing on start up
With engine OFF..... feel the belts and see if you can hold it either side of the belt and twist it 90 degrees.... Look at the belt and see if all the ribs look okay..... if the rubber seems perished or ribs are missing....Replace it...... If the belt feels loose and floppy then it needs adjusting...... Loosen off the locking nut a little and then slowly tension the adjusting bolt.... There is a bolt that adjusts and a nut that locks it in place.... Easy enough to do if you have a little technical experience.... Don't forget to do up locking nut afterwards and don't over tighten belt..... Do it in small adjustments till slipping stops..... I bet Jeff has a write up somewhere.......lol

Rain Problems
Better than mine.... I opened boot yesterday to find I had a pond..... right rear area was full of water sitting..... Looks like I have a big leak.... Mine also fills rear speakers with water if boot opened and wet due to the silly big boot spoiler..... (I know Si.... "Take it off and throw it away").......lol

Tech leaking recircs corrosion
Thanks for that Jeff...... looks like it has been under dripping water for some time...... There must be a path that water runs off bonnet or between panels that makes it run on the top of where this rotted then??
