  1. I had no choice other than getting rust spots where it has gone right through..... lol
  2. Hi, I have this fitted now and using a N/A loom with a TT ECU.... So the boost controller is linked to manifold on one side of solenoid and to my actuators on the other side..... All wired in and ready to get car on the road and MOT'd...... soon anyway..... Just one thing...... Erm..... how the bloody hell do I set it up and what should I be string it to? Lo / Hi, start boost, Limiter, gain, warning, etc...... Am i getting old? I am confused about % ..... I thought I just had to say what I wanted as max in psi and minimum psi...... jeeeezzzzz Can anyone who is technically minded please help.......?? Thanks.... Russ
  3. Did mine due to paint problems...... millions of micro blisters and flaking top coat..... covered up till i get enough savings for new paint job and taking it back to OEM body styling...... BYE BYE Veilside kit...... Black Carbon fibre wrap..... came out okay as a quick / temp fix.....
  4. Well I resealed the targa seals with mastic and cleaned all the water drain holes to hopefully stop the ponds in drivers and passenger seats....... was that or buy some koi carp and be done with it.....lol I then set about stripping my Nissan Consult 1 unit I got from ebay a while back.... I threw out the battery pack that was butchered and replaced it with 4 x AA batteries and a 4 cell holder..... It now powers up at last...... unfortunately it says 'error 200' when it powers up and no idea what error 200 refers to.....? I also have someone speaking to nissan technical for me to see if we can find out what this is...... but not holding out much luck...... Topped my Z up with a bit of oil and antifreeze and noticed I have no oil pressure reading on the dash..... so need to check the sender and wiring..... Also have the dash light saying lights and door ajar lit up...... so need to check the bulbs and then door switches..... But getting nearer time for it's MOT........
  5. Anyone got any paint colour idea's????? I was actually thinking of Nissan Brickyard red?????
  6. Nice one .......... Jeff and Family show their class and customer service skills again......... They are the best........
  7. Hi tomo, nice to see someone understands how you can get attached to a certain car....lol Hi marknexus, I didn't realise there were any members on here that live in atlantis.....lol Hi Joely, I would love to have the money to buy that car.... but need to save money first....lol
  8. Noooooo.... had my Z since 2000 and we have been through loads together..... Sounds weird, but couldn't bring myself to part with her after 14 years...... lol It's been one of those labours of love, especially after all the fabricating panels and learning to weld on her and time I have spent ....lol I still have loads to do and just enjoy spending time working on her.....lol I must have removed every part, nut and bolt on her by now..... so respray and putting back to standard is the only option I think..... Too attached to a car....lol
  9. I borrowed the father in laws one that he got from Aldi's quite cheaply...... worth looking out for when they do one on their special deal....... was under £100 for it and I have used it for checking under floorboards, inside my sills and also the bores on my old engine..... handy piece of kit..... Good for spying on neighbours from hell as well.........lol
  10. Well after a lot of thinking over the past few months I have made the decision to return my Z to it's original state asap......... The full veilside kit is going...... (Stop grinning Si!).........lol As this is the anniversary of the Z and I want to keep mine for a long while.... I want it back to showroom condition...... so I will be fitting standard bumpers, smoothing off the bootlid (No spoilers) and removing side skirts.... I keep looking at FunkySi's clean example of a Z and realised mine now needs a full respray asap.... I have got older and now want a more standard clean look...... Even the colour is going to change..... Not sure what colour yet as the original was Silver...... This will probably be when the car comes off the road at the end of 2014 and I have saved up for the bodywork to be done and new Garage is built to house her..... But Decision is now made......
  11. I am waiting for the polititians to find this stuff and start coating themselves with it....... as S**t don't stick to that stuff..........lol This would be great for coating the inside of the sills and using it as an underseal coating on a Z...... wouldn't it?
  12. I nearly made a comment about you valuing my car in my first post, but decided not to......lol I thought you would say exactly that.... even guessed the amount you would say.......rofl....
  13. Hi, Just trying to get insurance sorted and have been turned down by footman James as car not garaged..... Lancaster same thing.... Lynbrooke have come up with classic policy, kept on driveway, fully comp, 5000 miles, bodykit and wheels declared..... Got quote through and they didn't put agreed value on the policy even though I asked for it..... Spoke to them today and they said I need to get a valuation from owners club...... Is there anyone on here that can do valuations? Or can anyone point me in direction of someone please....... Thanks......
  14. Yet again some attention to detail that you always seem to bring to the table..... Looking superb.... I know you will end up taking them apart and redoing them till you are 100%...... lol You are a perfectionist...... I know what I will be doing over the next month or so now...... lol Nice one....
  15. Firstly, this will sound daft, but carefully remove the rods and clips and polish all the rods up with some wire wool...... they get corrosion on them and stick as they get older.... Replace the rods and clips and use some grease on all the clips that the rods slide through..... The other thing is to check the lock and unlock cable isn't sticking inside the sheathing.... I cleaned mine and wd40'd it to make it run smoothly..... It could just be a rod or clip sticking causing the actuator to bounce..... mine did this a few years ago and stupidly I threw away all the mechanism and went for remote locking only...... silly thing to do since the car has been without a battery and unlocked on my driveway for 6 years now.........lol It's locked now in case any tea leaves are reading this......lol
  16. I have a couple of spare 02 sensors if you want to try one? I can post it to you Voddy??? If it helps.....
  17. Well I actually went out and braved the wet and cold...... I took off the N/S targa and tried to find the reason for my soaking wet passenger seat..... I lifted the seals on the roof and cleaned under them, then siliconed them down as per Jeff TT's thread after painting... I checked the drain holes and all were clear, but can't seem to find how the middle of the seat gets wet?? I also slightly moved the door locking striker in to pull the door tighter.... this weekend is to adjust the window runner to pull top of window tighter into rubbers and strip targa and reseal the sides just in case it's leaking through them and out of the catch section..... Getting ready for MOT in next week or so..............YAY......
  18. What size wipers are they on the 300zx ? I changed mine to aftermarket years ago and think they are the wrong size..... Just looked on eurocarparts and they have bosch with spoilers for £5.54 each for a 21 inch......?
  19. Sounds like you've been stuck behind my dad Lexx........lol
  20. This is why I love france and spain..... they get in inside lane and only pop out to overtake..... they got something right there..... lol
  21. LOVE IT......... Completely agree again...... but you missed:- The Tailgating Tosser who sit up your arse even on a road with averaging speed camera's and your doing the limit.... you move over and the dick just sits there at the same speed...... Oh and the:- Mobile Phone using Tosser who can't afford bluetooth handsfree in their bloody Porsche or Mercedes.......... Costs £10 for handsfree nowadays......Grrr
  22. OOOOOO Dan...... Now I need to get my wheels done........ They look lovely...... I was going black....... But now It's silver......... Can't wait to see these fitted.....
  23. Completely agree........ Highway code and same laws for Bikes, Cars, Cycles, etc..... Nice Rant......lol
